Has anyone ever gone when it is Epcot evening extra hour? I am wondering how were the crowds that day? And is it just Future World that has the extra hours. I notice it says Future world 9 to 7 with extra evening hours. Epcot world showcase says 11am to 9pm. So would you need a wristband from 7 to 9pm to go around Future World and what rides are open. Thanks

Yes you'll need the wristband for the extra time in Future World. Most rides will be open but the top attractions (like Soarin, MS and Test track) will have longer lines. When I was there on a Extra Hours night Soarin had over 1 hour wait so I passed and did it on another non Extra Hours day with lower waiting time...

Still, I would always go to those days to enjoy the parks dring the evenings....

Enjoy

No. EMH starts after 9pm and runs until Midnight at FW and WS.

No. The wristband is not needed until 9pm, but is required after that.

Even though Future World "closes" at 7pm every evening, several of its attraactions do NOT close until 9pm ANY evening, EMH or not.
Soarin', Space Ship Earth, Test Track, & Mission: Space remain open every evening for all guests.
On EMH nights, even MORE of the FW attractions remain open past 7pm, and do so until EMH concludes (usually at midnight).

WS attractions open for EMH: Rio del Tiempo (Mexico). Maelstrom (Norway), American Adventure (USA).
Plus, many (most) other pavilions and several restaurants/counters remain open thru EMH as well.

The downside to Epcot evening EMH is that about half the people are there ONLY to ride Test Track and Soarin'. As a result long lines for those rides tend to continue throughout.

The one time I went Test Track went down for the night, and all those people got in line for Soarin'. So there was no chance to ride either. I still had fun but left around 11:00 since I was exhausted.

I've personally never been but have heard here that it was really crowded you couldn't really do alot of attractions. But the worst part was exiting the park, huge crowds and along wait for the buses. So, given that, I have been to MK until 2am and it was really crowded also. Not sure if I would do it again or not! It's really better to do the am EMH, imho.
