Not sure where to post this, but if there are early morning hours at a park, does the restaurant open an hour earlier too? Just trying to figure out our adr's - actually, I have them figured out, but may switch them around (like I'm sure lots of us do!).

Thanks everyone in advance for you help!

I'm curious too - I don't think the restaurants open any earlier, but I was wondering what time you are able to enter the park (assuming the ADR is at a park!). If I have an 8 am reservation and the park opens at 8 am for morning EMH, will I not be able to enter until 8 am, or can I enter a few minutes earlier to get to the restaurant before 8?

We had an 8am adr in AK last year (park opened at 9) and they actually led you through the park to the restaurant before 8 (gave you time to walk over).

The character meals at MK, Epcot, and AK open before the park open even if there is not morning EMH. Each park as a character breakfast entrance in the AMs before park opening. I know at MK its to the right after the security check point. We went in the back gate of Epcot so I'm not sure where the front gate check-in would be. You'll have to give your name the reservation is under so they can check you off the list. I would also recommend taking your confirmation number just in case. We've done a grand gathering breakfast pre-parking opening at MK and went to breakfast at Norway pre-parking opening.

To answer your question. No they do not open earlier if there is a morning EMH. The character breakfasts at MK, DHS and AK all open at 8am, every day. I always seem to get a 8:05 slot. The Princess breakfast at Epcot starts seating around 8:30am.

A CM is on hand to let you into the park (before opening) to get to your restaurant. They usually have a clip board with the ADR names on, so they will check to see if you are on the list. They will usually allow you in around 7:50 - 7:55 to get to your breakfast. Don't panic if you don't think you are going to make it. They do make allowances for this. As you are the first ones that day, and the park isn't open your table is not going to be given away to a walk up. However you probably don't want to be rolling up a half an hour late.

There is early morning transport. We have always been able to use the monorail that early, or resort buses. Allow a little extra time for the buses, as they aren't that frequent. I would say maybe every 20 minutes. The Epcot branch of the monorail was not open one time we were going to The Princess breakfast, however there were CM"s directing you to a special bus. It's a bit of a trek to Norway, so allow the extra time.

Thanks ReggieB - so I won't be making any breakfast adr's on early morning days - I like to get the most time in the park in the mornings, so I guess I'll aim for lunch those days!

Thanks again!
