? on Dumbo from a newbie

This will be my families first time going to DisneyWorld! We are planning to go July 17-24 2006. My questions are is there a Dumbo charater in the park and do any of the stores sell Dumbo souvenoirs? If so where? TIA

Yes they sale LOTS of dumbo souvies and it seems like I did see a Dumbo character when we were at MK....Don't hold me to it but I do think I recall seeing dumbo!!

Of all the times I've been there (lots), I've never seen a dumbo character -- but I love the ride (lol). Seriously, if there was one, there doesn't seem to be one now. Lots of others to see, though.

Souvenier wise, there are several Dumbo plush toys. There used to be a Dumbo ride vehicle die cast thing, but I'm not sure if they have it anymore. There is also an ornament with Dumbo. Oh, and of course pins. Otherwise, I'm not sure there is much merchandise.

As far as the character, he is not out in the parks anymore. I believe that he was only out when the ride was down for a long refurbishment last year.

I also believe Dumbo is not out very often anymore, we have never seen him. but I would guess one of the souveniour shops in Fantasyland would be your best bet for Dumbo "stuff". something near his ride probably.

Dumbo is my Fav. character and I got over my vac. a pillow from the comtenerary and a picture from a store in mgm that sells autographed stuff there. I got the die cast viecheal in Once Apon A Toy in Down Town. A small stuffed one in Philharmagic gift shop. hope that helps!! 8th days till i go so if you are going after me i will see if there is more. O yea there is a small picture frame like a wallet size frame in the 3-D Muppet gift shop.

Thank you for the responses. My mom is a major dumbo fan and she will be thrilled to ride the ride and buy more Dumbo goodies!
