Several weeks ago on the DLR podcast, someone mentioned new DLR park music that was to come out on Aug 20th. I missed what it was called and I'm not finding it on Amazon or in the show notes. Anyone know more about this or where I can find it?

It's called "Disneyland Resort Official Album," released August 2013 and it's on iTunes.

I have the Disney World Version. I love that they have now put these online for purchase so I can buy them on itunes. :thumbsup2

I wish they would change them just a little more because I have quite a few versions. But this one has some of Spaceship earth so I felt compelled to purchase it. Plus it doesn't allow you to purchase ride throughs separately, except oddly Radiator Springs.

I did buy some of the Disneyland ones from Cars Land. I am a Disney Music fan. I thought I could stop after purchasing the 50th anniversary Disneyland Mega CD set (A Musical Tour) and the WDW version they released simultanously but alias no. I cannot stop

I keep hoping they will someday release "If you had Wings" song. Love that.

Hmm... According the blog you can buy the discs at the parks. I'm torn between just buying the MP3s or waiting until I can have someone going to DLR pick me up a disc. Call me old fashioned but I kind of like having the disc, putting it on my pc, and choosing the songs to go on my itouch.

I love the park music too! I've been waiting for a new DLR music album!

You can always transfer them to a CD once you've downloaded.:cool2:

But I understand what you mean. I just have zero chances of anyone that I know actually going to Disneyland. I have a better chance of WDW but downloading what I want automatically is just too tempting.

What makes you happy in the end is what important.

Both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Official Albums are also available on emusic.com - a great music download service for those who regularly download music.

It's a subscription service - you choose the level and then you spend your money on the downloads on their site, which are typically less expensive than iTunes. They have a good selection, especially if your tastes lean more toward indie music.

Plus, you get free downloads for trying it out.

My old cd player at work doesn't play "home made" cds. Plus, there is something about having it in my hands and seeing the cover. :goodvibes But, don't know if I can wait that long anyway. And, I have some of those songs already, like HM and POTC. But then I want the "album only" songs too...

If I buy the WDW one, it would be after our first visit next summer. Right now it wouldn't remind me of anything. But I love listening to the park music when it reminds me of being there.

I planned to purchase the whole album too, but I have the old CD, and there's a lot of duplication. Thankfully I can do without the album-only selections. I just wanted to add Carsland music to what I already have, and create a new playlist that includes them.
