Looking at recent Navigators, it seems that Thor Ragnarok is no longer showing in the Buena Vista Theatre. Would this mean that it's available in the room through On Demand? (my cruise is leaving June 2nd)

I've never used the On Demand feature, but would really like to see Thor Ragnarok again (and Black Panther) before seeing the new Avengers movie in the Buena Vista Theatre.

I would think so.

On demand is on Fantasy Dream and now the Magic, our experience was all Disney films recently released were on.

In fact other non disney ones, we had James Bond on one cruise.

Anecdotally, I was able to watch Black Panther on my flight from Texas to Portland earlier this month. Don't remember if ragnarok was there. If an airline can have it, certainly the cruiseline could!

But it does give pause to ask this question: How often do the on demand movies change or get added to?

I think there is a limit on the sever, that regulates it more, as Disney has the rights.

I recall we saw changes on longer cruises, some on some off, older classics on, etc.

What I like is it's free ( included) RCL for example on demand movies cost $9.99.

Royal probably doesn't have distribution rights like Disney does, and probably needs to pay royalties. $9.99 isn't a terrible cost in my opinion. Granted it is a stateroom television and not on par with what many guests may have in their own homes.

Always available to rent for a few bucks from iTunes ($5.99), Amazon ($4.99), etc.

Ragnarok is a visually stunning movie. Personally, I wouldn’t want to watch it for the first time on the small stateroom TV - but to each their own. Enjoy your cruise!

I agree; I've seen it in the movie theater and loved it. I was looking forward to watching it again on the ship.
