? on car rental from onsite stay

Hi all,
A friend of mine ask me this question as he is planning a trip to WDW this summer with his family .... I had no idea .. so I said " let me ask my friends, someone is bound to know " ... so here it is :

My friend will be staying onsite with his family, (do not know which resort yet, have not booked yet), he will be flying in, so no car rental....
BUT he would like to rent a car for 1 day from the WDW resort ... is this possible ?? are the costs reasonable ?? would this be easy to do from an onsite resort , or would he have to travel to a car rental place somewhere ?
Has anyone done this ....

National/Alamo has locations at the Car Care Center outside MK and the Dolphin hotel.

The Car Care location has a shuttle that will pick you up at your resort and take you over to rent your car. They will also return you to your resort when you return the car.

Look on the National or Alamo website.

When we did it a few years ago, I think it was National that was the onsite rental. We called from our resort, they sent a bus to pick up DH, took him to the rental site and then he drove back to the resort. They also returned him to the resort after he returned the car. If I remember correctly, we paid about $45-$50 per day.

I incorrectly assumed that all/most onsite resorts can easily provide car rental for you ...
