Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if this is old news, but I found a code for $50 on board credit (w/out using the Visa card-b/c we don't have one)...BUT it's only for first time cruisers....

I thought I could use it but it's for the Cruiser that I refer! So they applied it to my mom's cabin. (But they only gave her $25. instead of $50 b/c we're not on the 7nght cruise). Which is fine.

But every little bit counts, hope this helps! :boat:

Code: CTC

:teeth: :wave2:

QJ-
I suppose it has to be at (before) booking? who's sponsoring the code - Disney? They wouldn't give me the visa credit b/c I am booking a stateroom at a "group rate", and they classified that as a competing "promotion". go figure; i was sorry i wasted my time getting the visa.

Anyway, I have two cabins - maybe I can get it applied to the second one????

Thanks for the heads up! :wave2:

Hi Jen,

Here's the link where I found the code, I was just roaming around and there was no expiration date on it, so I decided to give it a try.

Disney cruise code

The CM was very helpful and she was sweet (we already had 2 ressies, it wasn't a new ressie), she tried my ressie first but it wouldn't let her and it says "First time cruisers only" so she tried my mom's ressie and it worked. (It is her first cruise w/ DCL) maybe give it a try and see what happens. You never know...it may work.

Good luck and let us know how it turned out!

Just called DCL but they wouldn't let me have the credit. Said I needed a card from a previous cruiser.

Did you have a card, Queenie? Maybe I'll try again with another CM.

Thanks for the information.

Pat

Always the one to save a buck, I just tried using the onboard credit code with my reservation. Here's what I discovered:

Code: CTC is the code to use when a FRIEND REFERS you. (Perhaps that's why they wanted the card from a previous cruiser...)

You just need to mention that you're a first time cruiser and keep your fingers crossed that the TA will give it to ya. From what I was told there's no codes for this one...

Bon Voyage & God Bless!
:)

A card? I don't have a card as a past DCL cruise...the CM said that my Castaway Cay Member number was already on the ressies, but I have no idea what that number is!

Would it help you guys if you just told them my name? (PM me and let me know). I really wish the codes would work for you guys, every penny saved is a penny earned ;)

I've become such a penny-pincher just so we can enjoy our WDW trips! hee hee....

But try another CM and check...like I said PM me if you need DH and/or my full name & dates of sail, so you can get the on board credit. I'd really wish they'd give it to you!

(Too bad we don't get one...you'd think it's the OTHER way around, we should get some sort of kick back for referring ppl! :teeth: )

Did you have to book through DU to get this deal or can I contact my TA (vacationstogo.com) and get it applied. I have the name of my friend who recommended me to DCL. She's been on 2 or 3 DCL cruises.... Would I need to get any information from her before contacting my TA?

TIA!

Jennifer::MinnieMo

I just contacted Tammy at Dreams and I couldn't get the credit because like Jen we're booked under the group discount and Disney won't allow the discounts to be combined. Oh well, I tried!!! :(

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry to hear that the code doesn't work for some of you...perhaps you can try another CM. :(

I booked originally through DCL directly. When I saw the code, I figured I'd give it a try and I called DCL back and they were able to apply the code to my mom's room. Again, she didn't get the full $50, (only for 7 ngt cruises), but the CM was nice enough to give her $25.

Hope this helps!

Also, Jennifer, maybe your friend can give you her first and last name and their last sail date perhaps. The CMs should be able to pull up any info that way. Good luck! :wave2:

How do you know if you are booked under a group discount?

I tried to add the first time cruiser on-board credit and the TA said I already had $75 from a previous promotion for booking during a specific time-period. I guess this would fall under the catagory of combining promotions. :(

I booked through Small World. I guess DU is not the only one with these restrictions.

I asked my TA and she checked with Disney on this code. They told her the travel had to be done by Dec. 2004 in order to get the credit. Our cruise isn't until 2005. Hmmm...

Just thought I would let you know that I am a first time cruiser and have been able to have the credit applied to my onboard account $25. They did not ask me for a referral name but I have booked with Disney direct, I dont know if booking direct with them makes a difference.

Might be worth trying another disney agent, you never know.

Good Luck All.

 :wave2:

I just called DCL and added to $50 to my on-board credit. I didn't even have to give the name of the referring cruiser. (Although, I was prepared to.)

THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH FOR THE INFO!! You just paid for my drinks with dinner each night.

Wish I knew your secret. I've tried twice and DCL first said they don't know anything about it  (even talked with a superviser). Just tried again but no luck. Guess I'm not meant to get it. Oh well, I tried. Congrats on your success.

I sent an e-mail to my TA, I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the great tip...these boards are awesome!

I got my $25.00!!! Thanks!!!!

I got it for us and our friends stateroom, it would have been $50.00 but since we are on only a four day cruise we each got $25.00.

Thanks Again

:hyper:

I'm glad the code worked for you guys! Every little bit counts! If you need the name for the referral, just let me know. Or if you know anybody else who's been on DCL before and it's your first time, just give them their name.

Congrats everyone!

(Now, for those AP room only codes.... I'm still waiting on those...sigh...)

But glad to hear the codes worked...ENJOY!!!

Queenie: I just had to say Thanks! Due to your post I was able to get a $50 credit added to all 3 staterooms I have booked. That's a total of $150!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: I'm not even going to tell the others until we are onboard, that will by my little suprise to them! BTW, DU was great about getting the credit for all of us. Once again, Thanks! Kathy :wave2:

KATHY!!!!!

That's GREAT!!!! $150.00 btwn the 3 rooms!!! :teeth:
No need for thanks...

Have a WONDERFUL time!!! :teeth: :boat: :boat:

Okay, color me frustrated.

I have called DCL three times and even spoke to a supervisor. Becaue I did not put this code in at time of booking, they say I do not qualify.

In reading the above posts, it seems others put the code in AFTER booking, so any suggestions on how you got the credit would be appreciated.
