How good are they?
Do you have to pay at time of booking?
Any black out dates?
Any credit for being a repeat cruiser?

The price is the same as you would get if you booked off the ship that day. You have to pay the deposit when booking, which is either $200 per person (3 or 4 nt cruise or land/sea pkg) or $250 per person (7-nt cruise). You receive onboard credit (again the amount depends on the type of cruise you book) and you will receive the regular Castaway Club perks. Booking on the ship is the ONLY way to receive the shipboard credit!

If you find you have to change dates after returning home, you can do so and not lose the shipboard credit.

I have not heard of any blackout dates.

I hope this helps!

Hi: While we were on the 6/29 Wonder, we booked the Magic for 9/18/04 -- its first cruise to Antigua. It just so happens to be the week of our 20th anniversary. When we realized we'd get $400 onboard credit, we signed up onboard for the extra savings. Jan

THey also have some "special date" for next summer that are less than what they quote on their website. Also, the onboard credit cannot be combined with any other promotion, eg. Florida resident discount.

Is it really worth it to book onboard, versus looking for the best price you can find through DU (or whomever!)? I'm really trying to see if we will need to do this when we cruise in Nov. But, I know my DH will stroke out at having to put down a deposit...
