I have a question on the best rate program...

I was just reading info on this new program, and I am a bit confused....

If I book under this program, and the price goes down before I go, can I adjust my room price, or is it set in stone once I book online??

According to the info., the room price will automatically be adjusted if a lower price made available to the public. There's some confusion as to whether or not any AP rates that might be released under the old method (call in system) might undercut the Best Rate Price, but supposedly, the Best Rate Program is intended to be the lowest price available (not including Pin rates etc.)
