On a lighter note: How many houses have you lived in???

My husband and myself was talking earlier and realized I went to 12 different schools growing up. This was not due to military moving IT was due to having a realitor for a father.

He would sell our house for a profit, Once I remember we had to move that evening,but most the time he would give us a few days. He would turn around and rent a house then look to buy again. Went on all my childhood, Longest I lived in a house was 4 years.

Then after DH and I got married, we seemed to be on the go and lived in many of apartments and houses. Last apartment we lived in for three years and this house has been 8 months and have no plans to move. I think we have decided to settle down for a change. By the way I am 37 years old now.

Anyways the total of houses and apartments I have lived in is 39.

How many have you lived in? Can anyone beat me? And if you lived in many how old are you to compare the years?

Let's see, from birth until I got married at 19 I lived in 3 houses. After getting married I have lived in 9 different homes (due to the military), so that is a total of 12 in 35 years.

Wow, 39 is alot, I can't imagine that and I thought we moved a lot!

3 as a child (but I only remember 2 since they were crowded and moved soon after I came into the world).

I lived in one dorm for 3 years of college, but that really wasn't my home.

I lived with my parents in the same house until I got married at age 21.
DH & I never lived in an apartment. We lived in a small house in an iffy neighborhood for a while. The neighbor across the street was a "working girl"
We were only there a very short time!!!
Since then we've lived in 2 other houses..........so my total is 4......so far......hoping to make it 5 in the next couple of years

Birth to marriage I lived in 4 different houses with my parents. Since marriage... We lived in an apartment for the first 6 months before moving to our first house. Three years later we moved back to Minnesota and lived in an apartment again until our house was built. We moved from that house after 7 years because we couldn't have our kennel there. We again lived in a rental for a year while we built our current house. I am hoping the move to the log home will be our last!!

DH, on the otherhand...was like a nomad for a while, and he hated it. So he's so glad he's "settled" now I could never move every year the way he used to.

Okay, I'll count as I go.

Until I married ex-DH, 3 as a child.

Married ex-DH, 4 different places.

During divorce, 3 places.

Married DH, 6 places in 3 years.

Looks like 16 to me.

I've felt like most of my adult years were spent moving here and there. I hated it. We moved into our home 11 years ago. And, I said, that's it. We're not moving anymore. Now we really need a bigger house. We're talking about doing an addition.
