On a budget - is it worth it?

I am on a tight budget and am wondering if the golf cart is worth it. Let me state my circumstances, I have a bad case of plantar tendonitis (basically sore foot) and can't walk very far. I am trying to increase my tolerance of walking, but we are going in June and I am not sure how good it will be.

We have three small children and will need a stroller too. Would you get one? I have reserved one, but don't know if I should cancel it or not.

I would at least get one for the days you plan to stay in the campground. I can't justify the cost for the days we are in the parks or otherwise out of the campground most of the day. However, they make a big difference and worth the money when you just hang out at the campground.

I'd keep the cart. With foot problems and little kids it will be a life-saver--even on park days. Getting off the boat and hopping onto the golf cart right there at the marina as opposed to walking to the bus, riding the bus and then walking to your site--no comparison! It will also make it super easy to hit the playgrounds and pools, petting zoo and marina area, and it can even come in handy to get your little ones asleep at night!

I'd eat one extra meal a day at your site and put the money towards the golf cart. Reserve it for your whole trip and if you decide you don't need it you can take it back early and get your money back (at least we have always been able to do that if we had to leave early).

I think it would be worth it. With three small kids and some mobility issues...it will make your trip much more enjoyable. Especially being that you also need a stroller. We found relying on the bus transportation just to get around the campground when our kids were young(we stayed in the cabins at the time..and were using 2 strollers)..was inconvenient. We rented the golf cart and it made a huge difference. Didn't need to get on and off a bus just to go to the pool or marina area. Of course it was August also..and walking through the campground was pretty hot...and the younger two were just very uncomfortable.(we also had 11 year old at that time)

Currently we plan to go back..for the first time with our own rig in August..and our youngest is 13 now!...however we are really looking forward to it. We have a couple of the motorized(electric scooters)...so I think we will get by with those and our bikes. However given your situation, I think back to those days...and would highly recommend the cart.
