I am excited and scared, Just purchased a AP, for our upcomming trip in May. Now I have to plan a few more trips to make the cost worth it :cool1:

Exciting! We're getting AP's for the first time this year too since we already have two trips planned. Did you order them online and get the vouchers? I'm trying to decide whether to do that or just buy them when we get there next month.

Yes, I ordered them online and am having the vouchers mailed to me. I wanted to get the expense out of the way. So I have a better view of how much I can spend while I am there.

I took my parents to Disney the first week in December for Christmas. I had already been in Mar 2010 on a solo trip at AKL, then in May 2010 at GF for best friend 40th. I decided if I was going to go more than once a year to take the Dec tix and apply to an annual pass.

Now that I have the pass, I have a solo trip planned in March at BWI and am taking my sister for a week in June at BC.

I have truly become an addict and having the pass is like a drug :rotfl:

With multiple visits you can slow down a bit and smell the roses. You can take a detour and explore things that you normally might not have had time to experience. Enjoy!

The major problem with Annual Passes concerns when they are in a drawer more than 100 miles from Disney World and they whine a lot and scream:

Use Me!

Now comes the rationalization: We should go again, our passes are paid for!;)

Absolutely. We went from one trip a year to 4 trips in 2010. We will get two more trips in before April when our APs expire.

once a year to 6 trips in one year? We are crazy. :dance3:

My thoughts exactly. We don't try to kill ourselves anymore....if we don't get to do something on one trip we don't sweat it like we used to.

We love the fact that we can go every day to a park, even if it's only for an hour or two, and not feel like we have to ration our park days.

Next thing you should get is a Tables in Wonderland card. Definitely worth it if you eat out a few times during your trip. It covers everything including adult beverages. And there's regular AP discounts on some restaurants without the TIW.

Plus your shopping discount -at least at World of Disney, but this year, it's available at all the shops. 10% off everything you buy. ALWAYS ask about an AP discount.

Welcome to the official Disney addicts group - AP holders!

OhMyGosh I did the same thing!!! Congrats!!! Since Disney has been offering the military tickets we have been to Disney at least once a year. Since 09 we have steadily increased our trips and last year we went 4 times!!! :goodvibes

This year with our tax returns we bought annuals online and have already have 3 paid for vacations planned from now until June!! In addition to this we want to see the Garden festival and Star Wars Tour! ( I know I need help! :rotfl:) Our goal for the year is to do every Disney event (I'm SO excited for Christmas), to ride every ride at least once, and stay in a different Disney hotel every visit.

Thankfully (or not depending how you look at it) we are only a few hours drive to Orlando and out vet has a very reasonable rate for boarding our dogs. Most of our trips will be short weekend trips however I am looking to fill my Disney fix anyway possible.

I am curious do you who have annual passes live close by?

5 hrs away which includes one pitstop. We get into Disney either via Western Way if we're staying in a resort in the southern part or Center Dr if staying at the CR, both are hardly ever used so we skip that horrendous traffic at the gate.

LOL....it depends on what you consider close. Is Upstate New York close? It's closer than Timbuktu...
My DD and I got AP's in November because we were there for a week and knew that we'd be going back for another week in Feb (7 days away, yipee), so, with the DVC discount and the free parking (this trip will be an offsite timeshare) and the advantage of getting TIW, it was well worth it....
So....gotta squeeze as much value out of that pass as we can - right?
So, we'll be going for another 8 days in Oct. That's 2 F&W trips, MVMCP and MNNSHP, plus a Mommy & Me trip coming up...all in a 12 month period.

I live in Miami and have already been twice this year!! I infected my brother with my disease. He has an AP now as well and all we do is obsess over our next trip!

Hi! We are going in August and October (25 anni.). I am thinking of purchases AP Tickets also. Are they good for 12 months or 15 months like I have heard the pod cast say? Thanks!:goodvibes

I love having an annual pass! Unfortunately, I do live far away...but only 2 hours by plane. I usually come down to Disney World about three times a year...and I love knowing that I don't have to worry about getting tickets for the parks. The room discounts are nice as well!

We live about a 6 hour drive away so we go pretty often. We are renewing for our 3 year this Sept. Last year we were lucky enough to get the 15month deal.
