Omg!!

I am wondering if the campaign workers are lying, and are at fault, why aren't we hearing McCain stand up for Palin?

I like McCain, and think he's a class act. I'd really trust his opinion on the latest news.

I find it so strange how so many people in politics can turn on each other and then join together for something else later.

For example, I heard that the team McCain hired to manage his campaign this year is the same team that smeared him so badly in the 2000 election. Why would he want to work with the same people that were so awful to him? :confused3

Now they're doing this to Palin. I wonder if she'll hire them for her campaign in the future?

The point being "IF" what they are "SAYING" is true. So then, if half of what they are saying is true about Obama, he is a mighty scary man.

What is said about Obama doesn't scare me as much as what he actually says himself.

you betcha!:)

Granted, Sarah Palin is not my favorite person in the world. I disagree with just about everything that comes out of her mouth.

I'm confused. Why push her out there as the best thing since sliced bread and then attack her? What motives do these people have for speaking out? Is this a blame game? Is this to prevent future runs for office?

Why do people think these people are throwing her under the bus now?

Uh, yeah. I think even dvcgirl was clear on that towards the beginning of this thread.

I think they are doing it for both of those reasons: blame and future.

They ran a chaotic campaign. They lost. Someone was gonna point the finger at them and suggest this--esp. since Obama's was one of the best run campaign's ever. So, distraction...put palin out there and maybe she'll get the blame instead of them.
I'm not saying she's not to blame. I do not know. Personally, I think they could all take some of the blame. McCain included.

I think it is wrong for people to pass off every negative thing that is said about Obama yet believe every negative thing about Palin. I understand not liking her or not agreeing with what she believes in. I'm that way about Obama myself. But we should all know that everything that is said is not true.

I think of the black woman who said she would not have to "worry" about her mortgage and gas money anymore (or some type of bills). People twisted that into she does not think she will have to pay her bills anymore if obama is elected. That was not what she said, was it? But, it was twisted and repeated that way! I had a few clients state it to me that way! I corrected them and told them to watch it for themselves if they did not believe me.

And yeah, I agree, kicking Palin when she is down is a rotten thing to do. I'm hoping karma bites their asses.

I think it's the campaign attacking her, but it's also a struggle that has already begun within the Republican party. The conservatives are already calling for a return to their core values......fiscal and social conservatism.

Fiscal conservatism hasn't been practiced in.....oh, I don't know.....at least 6-7 years. After 9/11 we got into this "bailout/stimulus" mode....and we've been doing it ever since. The Fed cut rates to the bone and it turned into a free-for-all. That's why some of us fiscal conservatives just gave up. If we're not "one-issue voters" like Pro-lifers can be, why vote republican when *everybody* is giving away the farm anyway?

The real problem for the party (as I see it anyway), is that while we need to move to the right fiscally, that tends to mean that the base wants to move even *further* to the right on social issues, which is why they put up a candidate like Palin (who is too much of a religious radical for many of us). And that's where the moderates like myself will have problems.

So, I think that the struggle for control of the party has begun...

I can certainly entertain the possibility that they are lying. They said that she didn't understand the concept of "American Exceptionalism". I completely disagree. She not only understood it. She was the only one articulating it.
