OMG " you didn't take the kids" trip report!! Day 1

Sunday 16th January 2011

Well we dropped the kids off to my mums and they were sooo excited they knew they were going to be spolit rotten while we were away.
As we drove away the kids and my mum and step dad are in the window singing Zipadedooda!!.
We drove to Ashford without any problems and booked into our Travelodge room which had cost us £9 !!!. The room was clean comfortable and very quiet.
That night we ate at KFC and returned to our room early. Didn't get much sleep as we were sooo excited ready to catch the Eurostar the next morning.

ha ha did not notice your day 1! Good idea to stay close to train station the night before! Was this a surprise trip for hubby's birthday and how did you manage to book without the kids???? What on earth did you have to promise to get them to agree to an adult only trip????


Can't wait to read some more!

not a surprise just some much needed adult time after a very busy year. we did not get christmas presents for each other and we will have nothing for our birthdays this year and thats how we justified our trip.!!!

Kids were fine about it as they knew we wanted to do a trip just the 2 of us and of course they would get more gifts than if they came along.LOL xx
Th travelodge was great for £9 have stayed there before and we also stayed there on the night we returned for the same price.

That's a brilliant idea - I would forego birthday and Christmas presents for a trip to Disneyland Paris any time!
