Been checking twice a day and waiting for the next virgin sale. Earlier today MPM was more than normal price at £460 v £450 but just checked now and it's dropped to £404. Kids fare less tax is a whopping £47 couldn't get to London for that!! :yay::yay::yay:

there was an extraordinary error on expedia yesterday...
but it's not an airline you would fly - but i do....but i missed it...i only heard about the glitch after it had been fixed...
but thousands of people bought tickets..

expedia had el al round trip tel aviv - new york tickets listed at $350 instead of $1,350.

Can you imagine? people paid just $350 for a round trip ticket from tel aviv to new york...a ticket that usually costs $1600 or more (the $1350 was a fantastic deal on its own)..

but alas, i missed the glitch.....last august i paid $1,900 for the same ticket...just to give you an idea.....

Wow you gotta feel for the person who took the blame for that one but love it when it happens.

Darn website wouldn't let us book so at 00.30 we were on phone to Virgin and now all booked Phew. Time to plan

Is £404 the cheapest Miles plus Money offer released so far this year?

We did have a £326 Miles plus Money flight in February 2012 but that offer was booked in October 2011.

The regular prices for mid-week flights now start at £434 for most weeks starting from 19th November through to May 2013 from London while Manchester is showing less available mid-week dates at these prices.

I checked at least twice daily for our dates 12/3/13 lgw and can't imagine it getting lower but then let's say i'm not patient enough to wait and take the risk so we did it.

Yes, we're in the same position of shall we buy now or wait until October again in a hope for cheaper fares, a gamble-risk we might take, (win some loose some).

£403 plus 2,000 miles is a good price and also very tempting is the current reward seat sale of £302 plus 22,500 miles.

So it might come down to flipping a coin over the weekend.

I'm curious. Our flights next month are MPM (although we didn't have many miles left to use so flights were still £500 each). Do you still earn airmiles when you take a MPM flight?

Sadly no, as far as I know you have to use 2000 miles for each person for mpm so we are now cleared out after this 6000 taken. It does erk me a little that you still use 2000 miles for kids seat but hey I'm going to Disney.

No, you don't earn any miles or tier points on a MPM fare.

MPM return fares are always 2,000 miles for economy, 7,500 premium economy, and 15,000 upper class, you cannot use more miles in order to reduce the cost further.
