Well, I didn't "stress" over it......I simply made a statement voicing MY opinion on a public forum!!!!

Their mistake made an impression on me........a very bad one. If a company cannot be bothered to double-check their info, what else is being overlooked?

This is basic info that USED to be taught in elementary school. Spelling, punctuation, grammar.....the basic rules of english!

Bothers me too!!

I was paging though a Pottery Barn catalog last week and on a page with office organizers there was a wipe board calendar....on the calendar was written "Benjamins Birthday". Someone sure missed the boat there!

And there's the always infamous "Apple's for sale". Part of the problem is that people are getting so dependent on spell checkers and most of these grammatical errors don't appear to be spelling errors to the spell checkers. I always have to remind my DS that he has to also proof-read his papers, he can't depend on the computer to do it for him.

There is always the teacher who wrote "Have child to cut this out."

I understand making mistakes (I make a ton), but the teacher continued to write it that same way over and over again. I have had people try to defend her instructions which really makes my head spin.

Agreed, but I wish people would use their spell checkers, too! Most good internet browsers even have them built in these days. Those little red squiggly lines are not there for decoration!
