should i be worrieD????

I don't want to cause you to panic but - and this is personal opinion - going over Easter and Spring Break with this new FP+ system, I would not leave the day to chance. If you're easy going about restaurants and don't mind where you eat TS, despite all the stories, you can get walk ups even when it is busy but you may have to be a bit more flexible and persistent. If you have must do places to eat, you should be trying to book them now.

I'd also be making some FP+ reservations if I were you.

It depends what you want to do while you are there. If rides and meals are not a core part of your trip, then you can probably just go with the flow a lot more easily.

On the up side, Easter is a fabulous time to be there :)

All depends on the type of holiday you are doing.
Dining plan?
Offsite?

We don't plan a thing if staying offsite, no need to make meal reservations, just call ahead and they add you to the wait list at busy places.

If dining onsite then the popular restaurants will probably have no availability but there will be places to eat with no reservations.

As for fastpasses, I can't get my head around booking them in advance myself. We don't know what park we will be doing til we get up on a morning, even if we plan ahead I can't see me working my day to a FP time but missing rides is not going to spoil my day. Maybe I will consider making some the nearer we get(July trip) but just now I have no interest in making any.

Ditto Wayne. We have made some ADRs at our must do restaurants but it's much too early for me to start thinking about July FP options. I think that having visited so often, we are quite relaxed about itinerary. No fixed plans at all except for those favourite restaurants, as I said earlier. However I can understand why for some, planning ahead is a good idea - and brings the trip a little closer.

I booked a load pre trip just I'm case for the big rides just so they are there "in case". When we changed plans we just changed the fast passes!

We also fly 2 weeks on Tuesday, but as we have our first 5 nights onsite at OKW with free dining we have planned all TS meals and FastPass+ for those days.
After that, we've 5 nights at AKL and we have left plenty of room in the schedule for whatever we fancy at the time.

Everyone does it differently, but as long as you have fun, there's no real "right" way to do a Florida holiday. :thumbsup2

Out of interest what way did you book two different hotels and were there any probs with tickets adrs etc. we re considering a few hotels so just curious

We go in just under 4 weeks - I haven't looked at park hours even yet!

Despite staying onsite I haven't booked any FPs as I left our AP vouchers "safe" in our Owners Locker lol

We arrive before lunch on our first day as doing indirect via NYC with an overnight in NYC first. I will head and get our passes and just see what we can get.

In December we tended to make up our mind the night before or the morning of while eating breakfast and I would book FP then so I am not too worried.

We have one ADR booked - not worried about any others and will eat offsite or snack.

We booked them as 2 separate things - first 5 nights at OKW with 14 day tickets and free dining as one package with one confirmation number, then room-only AKL as another.

Did a similar thing last year and they had no problem moving our tickets from one reservation to the next, but we'll see how that goes with the Magicbands!

See I would not go without booking at least a couple of must do ADrs so that I knew every few days I had a meal I would really enjoy without a standby wait of over an hour!

I would also book my FP+ each day even if you change your mind on the park you can then charge you FPs to suite, but if you leave them all until the day I fear you may struggle to get the headliners.

Years ago we would stay on I drive and not make a single plan!
This was up until I was around 18 and we had amazing holidays, just deciding on the day!

However times have changed everything in a big way! And so as much as I don't want or like to plan everything in advance, I feel the need to so I can make the most of my trip :)

That's one thing getting favorable reports. Apparently it's working really well

I am quite pleased you showed up on this thread. I was starting to feel like the only OTT nutter amidst all these laid back, easy going folk :rotfl:

I'm here to Lee and you know me .... In just a few weeks I'll be booking ADRs till they come out if my ears ..... Or at least until I have 1 TS for every night LOL!

Now they have changed systems there is no moving of anything ;)

Everything is store in your MDE account. Your magic band just reads the data from the account :)

You can have multiple magic bands and use then interchangeably :goodvibes I know this works as we had 2 sets in December and I used the one that best matched my outfit!

This must have changed since November then, as we had 2 sets for our trip as we did a 1 night room only at the Poly then a 14night package at the Poly," booked on US site so could only do 14 nights with dining" and we was told only one set would work, we did try as our son lost his blue one and so he wanted to use his other band but it wouldn't work!

If its changed fab, as I have them in pink green and soon to be yellow :)

As long as both bands are on yoir account either should work.

Mine & DHs both did in December. Didnt try DDs second band as they were both pink so she stuck with one.

Come April we will have 4 each. One more set for our stay and they have now issued our AP holders ones too. :thumbsup2
