I knew our vacation was starting soon but it just hit me today that we leave in FOUR DAYS!!!! Oh, my gosh, I am getting so excited!!!
We'll be at HH the first week, and OKW/AKL the second week. We'll be in a 2BR villa at OKW but are moving to the Animal Kingdom Lodge (regular room, Savannah view) to extend the second week into a full week at WDW.
Can't wait to be sitting on the beach with a good book and a Diet Coke this time next week!!! And I'm really getting excited about the WDW portion of the trip, too.
I was pretty lazy about making ADRs but I called yesterday and we got everything I wanted. We are trying some new restaurants this trip - Yak & Yeti so older daughter can try it (we ate there last time and DD14 and I both liked it), The Wave at the Contemporary, and the character breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I'm pretty excited about those!!!!
We are also going parasailini for the first time this trip - at least the girls are, I'm staying on the boat/dock. Then the girls are getting massages at the Wildernenss Ldoge. That's an extra-special treat this trip - we try to do something new like that on our trips now. Last time it was the Wishes cruise (so wonderful!!!) Those are "big splurges" so we don't do them on a regular basis, for sure!!!
I have a lot to do between now and then (finish a construction project that has painters, plumbers, sheetrock guys, shower door guys, and electricians all coming and going for the next three days) pick up my younger daughter from camp Friday (a 6 hour round trip drive - we'll spend Thursday night in the NC mountains), clean the house and pack for a two week trip (thanks WDW for the washers and dryers in DVC villas!!!) but I know it will all get done and we will have a fabulous trip!!!!
