OMG, this was DISGUSTING!

So, I am ready to make a batch of cupcakes, and I crack the eggs into the bowl that already has the mix in it. The second egg was BLOODY! EWWWWW! I have NEVER come across something like that before. I threw it all out, just gross!

May I make a suggestion? I don't add the eggs directly into the mix anymore. It prevents any shell pieces from getting into the mix and the mess that you just had. I've never heard of that before.

That's why I always break the eggs, one at a time, into a separate dish. If I get a bad egg, I just throw out the egg rather than the entire mix.

Sweetie you got a fertilized egg. There was nothing wrong with it. It is normal. But usually they candle the eggs to make sure that the fertilized ones are not sold in the grocery store.

I figured it was fertilized, I had to thing way back to biology class on that one! LOL! But I have to say, cracking it open and seeing blood, was not pretty! My DD keeps asking what the smell is in the kitchen, I didn't think it smelled at all, better get the garbage out! Quickly!
