OMG think we got a bad pizza

We ordered pizza for dinner. Got a supreme for me and dh. Before either of us could eat any, the doodle got it all but one piece . I ate the last piece.

Shortly thereafter, doodle proceeded to throw up, and I feel really awful. The pizza we got for the girls (pep. and gr. pep.) was apparently fine. Since dog and I were the only ones to eat the supreme, and the only ones to get sick, sounds logical that something on that pizza was bad.

And no, I'm not contacting the company nor suing nor looking for any compensation. LOL!

Sorry to hear this, but yes - you should let the local establishment know.. Whatever was in/on that pizza, they are using the same "batch" for other pizzas - which means more people will be getting sick tonight..

I wouldn't take the dog getting ill as a sign of food poisoning, since... well, its a dog and eats weird things every day w/o getting sick and things we eat everyday can make it sick.

So, I hope your 'feeling awful' is something else and will pass quickly.

Are you sure your dog didn't barf because he'd just eaten an entire supreme pizza? Sounds likely to me. And seeing dog vomit would be enough to make most humans feel a little wonky. BEsides, food poisoning takes like 12-24 hours to manifest.

Hope you and doodle feel better soon---but my 2 doodles have delicate stomachs and it doesn't take much to make them barf. A pizza would definitely do it, good or bad.

Our dog gets seizures from tomato sauce products-we learned that when she got into a pizza, then again when we let her lick spaghetti sauce off the bowls. I would agree that the dog is likely sick from eating pizza, not from the pizza being bad itself.

I don't necessarily believe it's food poisoning, just perhaps undercooked meat, or old veggies, or something. And you're right, seeing a 60 pound dog toss her cookies didn't exactly make me feel all warm and cuddly .

It probably was not the pizza given the lack of time between eating and getting sick; but watch your pup closely. We had a border collie pup several years ago that died , vet said it was food poisoning. (he started getting sick during one night, took him to the vet the next afternoon)

Considering that a supreme pizza has the SAME ingredients on it that the pizza you ordered for you girls would have (the g peppers and pepperoni) then no, not a bad pizza.

But a dog eating an entire pizza would be sick.

One time I made up these lovely double cheese burgers for me and kari, and mini cheese burgers for the dog (just a few bites to make her happy with the extra meat). Yeah, she stole the two double cheese burgers (I think one was a triple) off the table and swallowed them whole probably. Her pieces were still on the grill. So I made up two mini cheese burgers out of the dog's share for us to eat. While we were eating, she proceeded to barf up all four cheese burgers, practically whole. At least we were outside and I was able to hose it down.

Did the pizza have onions on it? If so, that could make your dog sick. Onions are very bad for dogs. Watch him closely. If he continues to be sick, contact your vet.

Pizza in general makes me sick more often than not. Double over in pain & barfing sick.

And the dog probably got sick just because its pizza.

I got bad salmon at the grocery the other day. I tasted mine, my husband said his was fine. I tasted his and it was bad too. We had a veggie dinner that night. Sorry you got sick. I'd say your dog getting sick was from eating a whole pizza. Food poisoning doesn't start that fast.

I think that anyone, dog or human, might get sick eating a whole pizza like that. I bet that he's fine.
