My one and only daughter is spending her sweet 16 at WDW in June w/me, my mom and my daughter's favorite cousin! :lovestruc We are staying at the GF for the first time ever, hoping to make it a very girly trip! After many stays at Poly, BC, WL, CR and others, what are some must see/do's at the GF? We've only gotten out of the monorail once to look at the lobby. Did I mention how excited I am?? :yay:

p.s. We told her yesterday and she sobbed and sobbed and sobbed.....:grouphug:

Oh how nice. You might want to check out the afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Room. It's very relaxing and a nice way to sit and chat.

Enjoy your planning and have a wonderful trip.:)

I was going to suggest the same thing. The tea would be a nice, relaxing way to enjoy a few hours. Also, just walking the grounds is nice, IMO. The GF is an amazing resort and I think it's peaceful to walk around the resort taking in the beautiful surroundings :goodvibes.

We loved our stay at the GF!!! I wish I could go back this trip but we will be at BWI, we always plan a meal at GF tho I adore the shops there!

I second the tea, and maybe a visit to the spa for mani/pedi?

I love to sit in the lobby and listen to the live big band play in the late afternoon (usually around 4PM, but check to be sure).

My daughters and I all enjoy Basin, a lovely soap and bath shop which has the most fantastic bath bombs ever.

Make sure you enjoy some resort time. The pools are great and my girls love the movies by the pool at night.

So sweet that she was crying when she found out

I agree with the others who suggested afternoon tea. It's really special and a must for a "girly trip" princess:

Pool time will be important :thumbsup2

Take the monorail to MK and the boat back.

Just walking through the lobby in the evening on your way to bus stop can be special :wizard: with the pianist and orchestra playing.

Movies on the lawn by the Courtyard Pool each evening are such a simple pleasure. I loved seeing "Brave" for the first time with my 16-y-o ;) on our most recent GF stay.
