I still haven't blabbed... been 4 months almost since I booked... and now I am down to less than a week! Funny thing is she asked to watch the planning cd last week, and I was dying to tell her!! But I know the surprise the morning of will be tooo good...
Stick to your guns, Lisa! You've made it this far without telling her. Not long to go now! Just remember to have that video camera pointed at her when you tell her, as that will be a riot to look back on. I can't believe you lasted 4 months. I booked the trip just over a month ago and it feels like forever!
Today we watched HSM1 on video. Mommy enjoyed it immensely (Zac Ephron is such a cutie) and tomorrow we'll watch HSM2, just in time to catch the parade on Sunday hopefully in DCA.
I'm going to make a list tomorrow morning of things to pack. Today was all about laundry. I might also get them some new nighties to surprise them with on the trip. It will be so much fun just making their day/week/year and doing so many fun things with them!!
bummer... our plans have changed. We still fly out, but now we have to leave at 2:00 AM from our house to get to the airport in time. Our kids are so excited they don't seem to care what time we leave the house- as long as we are going!!! WAAAHOOOO 16.5 hours until we leave for the Happiest Place on Earth!!!!
Last night while dd was in the tub, I broke out the carry-on suitcase and started packing, still need to stick in a pair of jammies for me and 1 more pair for dd (which I am off to Children's place at lunch today to buy--all she has that fit right now are the Carter's fleece ones, and since we will be sharing a bed, she'll be too hot in those...) And I have to start our 2 ziplocs of toiletries... not to mention remember to put fresh batteries in the camera and white noise machine, and find our extra phone charger to pack too...
DH was impressed at how sneaky I can be packing, dd didn't notice a thing...
5 more sleeps... then the 3:30 am wake-up call and surprise!!!...
You are so lucky and so great to have held onto the surprise!! I know it is tough, and that with all of the planning you want to burst at the seams, but the look on her face will be soooo worth it! For my oldest son's 10th birthday, we woke them and drove to the airport, we made it all the way to Florida before we told them it was a WDW vacation!!! That was a wonderful surprise, and my whole family still talks about it!
I hope you have the best time...we leave in 24 hours!!!!
