So the first miracle happened when I was able to score a week at VGC in a 1br this September, lol…
Granted, I booked before anyone knew when DLR would open (back in Feb), but I was pretty excited regardless. This is part of a 2 1/2 week trip due to a training for the Hubby the week after, but the DL part is now 9/16-9/25.
I requested the first waitlist for 9/23 sometime in July with very low expectations that it would come through. I was SHOCKED when it did, a few days ago! We thought “maybe we should try again for 1 more night, for 9/24… it came through in ONE DAY! We were going to switch To DLH for a night, but now we don’t have to schlep our luggage around, or leave the Grand at all, yay!
My main concern now, is that I put in for a studio at the same time (because why not!?) and I went in to cancel that waitlisted room, and it’s GONE! I show no waitlists, which sounds fine, but I don’t know if the website is just glitchy, or what. I just don’t want that to happen to come through, and then we have 2 rooms for the same night and I can’t cancel since we’re less than 3 weeks away. Has this happened to anyone, or do I have to call to try to cancel it? And will they merge all 3 reservations so we don’t have to move rooms 2 extra times? TIA for any help!
