OMG, my waitlist came through… TWICE!

So the first miracle happened when I was able to score a week at VGC in a 1br this September, lol…
Granted, I booked before anyone knew when DLR would open (back in Feb), but I was pretty excited regardless. This is part of a 2 1/2 week trip due to a training for the Hubby the week after, but the DL part is now 9/16-9/25.

I requested the first waitlist for 9/23 sometime in July with very low expectations that it would come through. I was SHOCKED when it did, a few days ago! We thought “maybe we should try again for 1 more night, for 9/24… it came through in ONE DAY! We were going to switch To DLH for a night, but now we don’t have to schlep our luggage around, or leave the Grand at all, yay!

My main concern now, is that I put in for a studio at the same time (because why not!?) and I went in to cancel that waitlisted room, and it’s GONE! I show no waitlists, which sounds fine, but I don’t know if the website is just glitchy, or what. I just don’t want that to happen to come through, and then we have 2 rooms for the same night and I can’t cancel since we’re less than 3 weeks away. Has this happened to anyone, or do I have to call to try to cancel it? And will they merge all 3 reservations so we don’t have to move rooms 2 extra times? TIA for any help!

They probably matched you to a room which is why the waitlist is gone but it takes some manual entries to complete it. They should see that you already have it and then cancel it.

You have to contact them to merge the reservations as long as all the details are the same. Sometimes they may do it, sometimes they may not. Best best is to contact them.

I was just able to get someone on the chat, I asked first to merge the reservations, and she said she submitted whatever form is needed for that. I should hear something in 24-48 hours. When I asked her about the studio waitlist, she did say that they cancelled them when the others were matched, which is good, but when the first one came through I manually cancelled it, so I hope they are truly cancelled… I can’t imagine I would actually have 3 waitlists come through at VGC, lol

ETA - WOW, she got it done SUPER fast! I already got an email confirmation that everything was merged and is now all one reservation, I’ve had some good luck lately, and member services seem to be ON IT! Yay!!

I never got a notice but a one night waitlist came through! I now have 5 nights, BCV one bedroom when our who,e family will be there! I have sent an email that the night be added to my original reservation.
