Wow----I have always read on these boards that Tevas seem to be a favorite for WDW vacations. I posted some questions as to where to buy them, but living in the rural we are in, I had to go to the Internet.

Well, UPS delivered them today. I ordered two pairs, hoping that they would be an okay fit. After a long day in the classroom, I opened the box and slipped them on.

All I can say is I felt like I was walking on air!! :earseek: The fit is perfect and I love the colors! I got the Spoiler and the Keala.

Yesterday my mom was giving me hints for her birthday. I called her and told her she may want to revise her list after she tries these on!

Thanks for those that replied to my earlier thread.

Karen, glad you like your Tevas... I am in love with the three pairs of mine :) I refuse to wear anything else at WDW if it is warm enough

Congrats on your new Tevas, Karen! :sunny:

We discovered them first here on the DIS boards too, back in 2001 when I was planning our WDW vacation. They were wonderful!! And they're the only brand of sandal we wear now.

Karen,
Can you share where you bought your Teva's? I am having a tough time finding them around here too (can't in fact) so will have to resort to ordering as well.
Do they run true to size? And if you are half you order up?

Thanks so much! I have to make up my mind soon.

Cathy

I have a pair of Spoilers that I love. :) I have a couple other pairs too.

I have found that they do run true to size, and always order up if the half-size is not available in Teva's. ::yes::

Cathy-I ordered them from

www.teva.com

On this website they have a Teva dealer locator but nothing close to me.

Yes, they run true to size. When I posted my original thread about them, people suggested to go up for half sizes. I wear a "whole size" so I didn't have to worry about it.

Karen

Any suggestions on adjustments for getting that "perfect fit"?

Thanks Karen.
THanks Rhonda. Will order up.

Cathy

Cathy, I know I always recommend going up the size if you wear half sizes ever. I do not think they come in half sizes at all (never seen them) and I wear a 7-7.5 normally but I always get an 8 with those.

As for the perfect fit... I start them off a little loose and then tighten as I go. I don't know how to explain it, but I do the "toe" strap first. I do it so it is not tight... if I can wiggle my toes and nothing feels tight, then all is good there. Then I do the ankle strap so it is also about the same tightness. If it leaves a mark on the skin it is too tight... I find for me, a little loose-ness is very cozy for me.

I thought you meant you had SLIPPED on them, as on a banana peel.

I Love my Teva's...I wear nothing else in WDW and here in the summer, except at work.
I bought my 1st pair at Teva.com but have also bought them from Sports Authority. com ....sometimes they have a sale or specials running also.
Enjoy them..........Yeah....Happy Feet!!!

LOL faithinkarma :hyper:

Dopey Sharon-I got the Spoiler and the Keala. Now I just need some warm weather here! (forecast reads 7+inches of snow today!)

I bought myself and my son a pair last year from Sierra Trading Post (on-line). I think they were closeouts.

Okay, I really want some of these now! I generally have been getting Nike Straprunners - which I love - but I would like to try these Tevas.

I am a Women's 10 pretty much, but sometimes I get a Men's 8 just because the 10 sometimes isn't available.

Are they pretty true to size and is it easy to find a Women's 10?

and this week I went to Beans and got the nicest fitting soooooo comfortable pair of sport sandals too........I am in heaven.......my feet are very happy little campers......good luck

I wish I could jump on this bandwagon. I certainly appreciate comfortable shoes as a person who stands for 12 hours at a time...but I HATE the way Tevas/Merrills/Clarks/Birkenstocks look. I bought both a pair of Tevas and a pair of Merrills last year before our WDW trip, took one look in the mirror, and took them right back to the store. I couldn't see spending $130 on two pairs of shoes I would wear for exactly one week...

Glad to see you love them, though! It's nice to have happy feet! Mine are mad at me right now...I just got off work.
