OMG just booked last minute trip!!

Dec 14th-17th...

And I blame the ICE CASTLE!

I saw some pictures of it and decided to check out flights... $49 bucks each way meant my family could all fly down for under $600. (that's a family of FIVE) Then I remembered I had a large credit on SWA thanks to a series of Dings, that had to be used before they expire... bringing our out of pocket cost for the tickets to $127 but I couldn't book it... not until I had a place to stay...

I called DVC thinking no way they would have a room for us... no way turned into WAY!!! We are staying at our beloved OKW!!!

Booked Air...

I bought MVMCP tickets for Sunday the 16th... $233..

Looks like I can bring this whole trip in, food included, for under $600!!!

Merry Christmas to ME!!!!!

I am so giddy it's not funny. But that will end soon...

As my DH doesnt know I booked the trip If he doesn't make too much noise when I tell him, we will keep it a secret from the kids... They will miss 1/2 day on Friday and Monday of School... Sue me

Good for you, enjoy while you can, that's what I say, HAKUNA MATATA!
I saw the Castle lights, you will not be dissapointed. Also saw the Osborne lights, spectacular.
Have fun, and (don't tell the kids this part) education is overrated. They'll have experiences at Disney to last a lifetime.

LOL The Castle was just the straw so to speak..

We were just in WDW in Oct and spent a day before and after our cruise (so it'snot like we are hurting for Family Vacation time) BUT We were not able to ride BTMRR since it was closed.. and my boy was TALL ENOUGH to ride it!! And my Middle DD was just tall enough for Rock n Roller Coaster and we just didnt have time to squeeze it in, this past October...

Oh well.. this is my Christmas present to myself lol

Damn Ice Castle

This is exactly why I am leaving for a three night solo trip tomorrow! We went to Disney last December, then February, then August. I swore I was done for awhile. Then I saw the dang castle lights in a photo on the DIS, and that lead to checking Dings, which led to a AAA discount at Caribbean Beach, which lead to me getting a break from the family for four days!!!!!

I guess I owe the castle big time! Enjoy your trip!

You are just like my DW. She always finds the value as well. She found great airfare for us about 5 weeks ago and we are heading down this Mon-Thur. Love SWA We had a much harder time finding a place to stay on DVC points. Everything was booked except Carribean Beach. So we kept calling every day and two weeks ago were able to upgrade to the Contemporary. No kids this time but we will have three of our teenagers with us in April for a week at OKW!!

Can't wait to see the "Ice Castle"!!

Sooo jealous. I was thinking to myself that it was ok since we were just there in Oct until you wrote the same thing. I just keep telling myself that we will spend a few days at SSR after our cruise in April. Although I keep saying that it seems like forever before that comes.

I have been spending the last few days thinking about booking for next Oct for a long weekend and maybe go in Dec right after Chrismtas.

Hi Laura ~ I think you were the one gracious enough to provide us with a Christmas tree to SSR! I wanted to say thank you for the tree. I am so happy you are going to WDW also!

Now to figure out a way to get you in on the tree swap!

Our kiddos do not know we are going yet we are not telling them until the day we are leaving!

Too funny!!! This is such a short trip, I just can't imagine setting up and taking down a Tree, but we will bring Balcony Lights for sure!
