OMG! I got THE call!!!

Jeff, that's awesome!!!! It sleeps 7...there are 4 of you and 3 of us....how perfect!!!! Okay, for real now, Emilie and Chelsea and I will be in line for a private tour!!!

BTW, Andy.....we're on the 8/19/06 magic too!!! ~Jen

The girls would love to have your girls pop in. Perhaps we could arrange it so we have lunch or dinner together in the suite during one of our days at sea.

BTW...I have not told them and don't plan to. They think I booked a Cat 6 and I am curious as to how far I can take this surprise.

In reality, I usually make all the travel plans so their first clue shouldn't come until check in at the terminal, but since this is a new experience for me I don't really know what to expect.

It would be cool if I could keep up the surprise all the way until we were actually standing in front of the suite.

Oh my! You will have to have your camera ready. What great expressions those will be. :)

Yes, I agree. Perhaps I can do the check in at the terminal while Missy and Catherine keep Sarah entertained. I know that the concierge level has a seperate check in, but I don't think they know that. Hopefully it is not too obvious that there is a difference.

I also have a Directory of Services book from a prior cruise (2002) and the deck plan for deck 8 has the suites the other way. 8530 is listed as Walt and 8030 as Roy; made me laugh that both were wrong. :confused3

Just curious, how did you obtain the Directory of Services book? I have always wanted one. How can I get one?

You could always just go thru the CC check in line so that it wont be obvious. Your wife would just need to go & show her ID so that you could get the KTTW cards for everyone. They are different at WDW so they might look different on the ships too. If you talk to the concierge team while waiting to board, you might be able to have them keep it quiet too and just escort you to your room...maybe saying you are the special family of the cruise or something? I'm sure that those who have actually stayed in the suites could help more with the details of how things are done.

We will be sailing in room 8530 as well, although we have to wait until Sept 2, 2006. A long time indeed. I was wondering if 8530 has adjoining rooms attached as my in-laws will be joining us.

I asked the stateroom stewart if I could have it and he said of course. He would just replace it with a new one anyway, besides I think as with most requests he thought he would get a bigger tip at the end of the cruise if he said yes which he did. :goodvibes

buddy bear -- how exciting for you and your family!!!!!!

you are still cruising with us t-day right??? now I have to keep a secret!!!! :earseek:

Thanks. I will be sure to ask for one. I was always afraid to just take it and not know what DCL would charge me.

:cool1: Congratulations! It sounds like you're going to be VERY popular! :rotfl:

Conceirge not only has their own check-in but they have their own waiting area and first boarding. It might be a bit challenging to keep the secret, but personally I wouldn't give up the first boarding for the suprise affect. But, I also wouldn't be adverse to streching the truth a bit with a story to cover any questions. Something like, you've linked reserverations with another Dis member and because that Dis member has a conceirge level room, you're allowed to use the check-in, waiting room, and first boarding!

I can't wait to see the pictures of the suprised faces! :earseek:

Jeff there are about 218 people from the Dis boards going on this cruise. How many people could you fit in your cabin? Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe you can set up a party ahead of time and they will provide some trays of snacks and such.

Not For nothing but on The May Repo ..
We Got About 350 folks in the Walt Suite.. (ok not all at once)
220 or so should not be a problem..

We have done concierge at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge; the seperate check in is kind of nice.

My family loves cruising on DCL, but they don't really have the same in depth interest I have of the ships and these forums. As a matter of fact Missy won't bother to read this forum unless I tell about something specific like the "DCL picture of the day" thread, which by the way is a great thread.

They know the suites are nice, but I don't really expect to see any jaw-dropping expressions until they actually wallk in the room. I'll will do my best to have a camera ready. :)

I do like the link to another Disers reservation though; I might just use it. Thanks.

Jeff--make sure you check your PM box.

Wow! Thanks for the info. I can't imagine that many people in the suite.

You could do a two part surprise.

Suprise #1 - honey I got us a suite (Cats 2 & 3) also check in as concierge.

Surprise #2 - outside the suite - oh yeah - it's the Roy!
