We are scheduled for a 7 night vaca in Jan 2011, and DH just said, "You know, I know it's crowded, but I would love to be there one year for Christmas."
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:cool1::cool1::cool1::love::love::cloud9:

SOoooooooo, I said, "You know honey, it's usually not that crowded the first or second week of December. And all of the decorations are up."

He says, "Hmmmm, that's a thought."

So now my planning wheels are already in motion for 2011. Just wondering about the dining and candlelight processionals. When do they announce the dates for that? And the narrators?

I haven't even been on my next trip and am already planning! YAY! Pray it works out for us!

The candlelight processional starts at Epcot the day after Thanksgiving.As does the holiday storytellers and the holiday ending of Illuminations..The narrators get announced anywhere from late summer to Sept and even then they aren't always completed and can change even after the fact.This year I believe the pkgs went on sale before the narrators even were completed.

You're going to love it at Christmas, I go every year, yes it is so so crowded but the spirt of Christmas is in everystep you take when staying at Disney 22 more days I will be there, jumping out of my skin, I cant wait :santa: You are going to love it, have fun planning, it will behere before you know it.

THANKS FOR THE INFO YA'LL!!!

So was I right in saying it's not as bad the first week of December?

We went the first week in Dec in 2007 and it was great. I'll have to report back about how it was in 2010 as we leave for WDW in a few hours. I would think it's still lighter even with the pop warner, and taping of the Christmas parade during the 1st and 2nd week of December than it is over Christmas.

fwiw, i went one year during the second week of december and it was lovely - shortest lines i've ever seen and we also did MVMCP, which was not crowded at all. it was like we had the place to ourselves :)

I went to disneyland on christmas day one year. It was awful elbow to elbow people. We could not get on any rides without a 2 hour wait. I don't know how you guys do the holiday weeks, but I'm glad you do so I can go when its not crowded. Good luck. Your much braver than I.

You will love the first full week in December!!! The weather is normally BEAUTIFUL!!! There are no crowds - we went that week for 3 straight years and the longest line we stood in was 5 - 10 mins!!! All the special events and decorations for the Holidays are in full swing - Characters are out and are easily accessible - IT IS GREAT - totally recommend it!!
