ok, so I'm sure that this question has probably been asked a MILLION of times... but I just don't feel like reading through allll the blogs. So, I had my first phone interview for a position with the professional internships. I was emailed about completing a second application and mailing that one in. It's been almost two weeks since I've had the interview and sent in the application. I'm just wondering what everyone else's "wait times" to hear back were. and how did they get a hold of you... did they call you back or email you?

i could really use some advice on this so please help me?? thanks

It depends.....I can't speak for everyone...but I had my interview on February 27th..and I applied for Character Performer. Since I applied for that, I wouldn't know if I made it or not until AFTER my audition, which is in April....they sent me a letter a little after a week, stating that they're processing my application, and that they're going to let me go to the audition since I shown that I was a strong candidate for Character Performer. From what I've seen on here, most people get their responses within at least 2 weeks.....again...it depends......I hope that helps! I'm sorry I couldn't be more of an assistance to you

thank you so much. it did help a bit. i'm just wondering if they leave you hanging or if they will tell you that you didn't get the internship. I didn't apply for any character stuff... I applied for the travel/design intern. So maybe it's different, i don't know :(

it's the same process....you should be getting something in the mail....if you got accepted..you should be getting a large envelope (that includes the purple folder and the acceptance letter)...if you get an envelope...it's a rejection letter....BUT DON'T BE SCARED!! i got a letter too....but it was to let me know that they received my application and what-not...if they don't email that to you...they might send you a letter...letting you know that they received all your information......

usually they are processed and sent out in 2-3 weeks according to the site and many of the cast members I talked with. Some people get them within a week, others a month, it all depends. If you wait a month and nothing, give them a call, glitches happen, but either way you get a letter saying yes or no.
Have a Magical Day!!!

i had my phone interview today and im freaking dying already!! lol ... i jsut want to kno yes or no already hahaha=)=)

Today was my 4-week mark. I got a pending letter, so the latest I can hear by is April 17.

And now the waiting saga continues.......LOL......I had my interview on February 27th...and was waiting for my Disney Audition on April 8th (which was yesterday)..now I have to wait until I get the email letting me know if I got the character performer role or not....and if I didn't get it (really hoping I do)...I have to wait until they send me my purple folder!!! Goodness!! This wait is taking FOREVER!!!

whoa! i dont think i could be as patient as u! jajaja the good thing for me is that i have a BUNCH of tests that i have to kick butt in so ill be entertained there for a while until my good news letter or bad news letter comes jajaja=)=)

so I haven't heard anything since my phone interview in march :(

is this bad?

i havent heard anything yet either.... i interviewed on March 18th... so it's been a little over 3 weeks.

when was your interview?

Hey Ya'll :)
I had my interview in late February and got accepted about 2 weeks after :)
If you are accepted, you will be given a date to either accept or decline the offer within 2 weeks you have been accpeted, or there will be a specific date listed on the acceptance letter.
Hope this helps!
And don't worry if you dont hear from them after 2 weeks of the phone interview. It can sometimes take up to a month for them to respond :)

Hate to tell you this, but you could be waiting for a while yet. Most of the people that have replied here are referring to a regular cp, which you should hear from within a few weeks. However, PI's are a whole other story. You could apply in February and not hear anything until May. If you are extroardinarily lucky, you may get accepted before then. Final decisions are starting to be made and the deadline is fast approaching for the departments to have their decisions made (except the management PI's, which will still be a few weeks). At that point, when the departments have made their decisions, casting will begin the background checks and start handing out offers. If you are not their first choice, but they still liked you, you could get an offer if someone from their first picks does not accept or takes another PI, so it really could be a while. Also, from what I understand, if you are accepted, you will get a phone call. An email is the usuall method used to let you know you were not accepted, although some will never hear anything at all. One final note, while CP's have two weeks to respond, PI's have 24 hours to accept, but at this point, do you really need that much time?

I had my phone interview on march 15th.

why are they taking so long to make their decisions? weird.

It takes so long because they have literally hundreds, if not thousands, of applicants for positions that may only have a handful of spots open, and that is for the lucky PI's that have more than one intern. They don't want to make a hasty decision. Be thankful for this, otherwise all the positions would have been filled in February. And really, I know it seems like a long time, but there are a lot who have been waiting a lot longer. Just keep your fingers crossed and come on over to the PI 09 thread. I know there is a lot there, just click on last page and pick up there or read back from there for a few pages, a lot of your questions will be answered and you will discover a huge community of hopefulls in the same boat as you.

Good luck!:wizard:
