I actually compiled a book of most of all of the menus from Disney (along with activities) and had Staples bind it, complete with cover and an index :crazy2:
We are bringing my inlaws for the first time in January and I thought this would be a good way for them to check out all the menus (they are not computer savy). But... what started out as a simple project has now turned into a book over an inch thick :sad2:

God I'm pathetic!!!!

No way! You are just excited, and want to show your inlaws a good time! Have a blast! :)

Hahaha sounds like your getting into the Disney spirit are feeling the magic!

Good for you! I bet you've had a blast doing that!

What a good idea! ::yes:: Hmmm, gonna have to make me one now. ;)

I came close to doing that for my 80yo father before our trip. He read about the restaurants in the UG and then I printed out the menus and let him pick from there. He picked some good ones too!

Dang!!! and I thought I was a WDW nut!!! ;) That's actually pretty cool!pirate:

NO way!! I have done that myself and put in my own binder. But I have to say I am most excited that you mentioned you had Staples bind it for you as my DH is a General Manager for Staples:D :D Thank you!

That is fabulous! We have menus from 3 different trips. How cool. Just a little hint... if someone thinks you are insane for this project, they are a non-believer! Have a magical day!

Just a little hint for next time. If it's an inch thick it sounds like you just printed them off the internet. I like to pull mine into Word (select, copy and paste) and then change the fonts, font sizes, margins, etc. and delete unecessary stuff so that the menu fits on one page before I print them out. I've got all the restaurants we're going to (or could go to) on our itinerary all printed up and ready to go.

My reasoning is that my kids are picky eaters. I want them to see what all the restaurants have so that they don't eat the same meal many times. If the lunch PS has shrimp and salmon but the dinner PS has salmon but not shrimp, then they'll know to have shrimp for lunch and salmon for dinner instead of having salmon for both.

I did the same thing before our trip last November.
I printed menus from all the restaurants that I wanted to try and convinced the rest of the family to go to them by showing the menus. Had about 80 menus I think.. we didn't go to all the restaurants but had a great time planning what we were going to eat if we did go to them.

It is converted to word and it's still that large :teeth: . I have most all the menus (except counter service... although I may add for next trip), plus I added all the activites WDW has (golf, watersports, etc).

I can certainly email the file to anyone who's interested... just PM or email me.

Thanks!!!!

P.S. I did really love doing it :hyper:

Great idea! Obviously, if you're insane, you're in good company here!

I have downloaded the menus for the restaurants where we are considering eating, saved them in Word so they're not so lengthy, and was trying to decide how best to use them for our trip. I think your idea would be perfect! ::yes::

Lisa: We use Staples all the time - I was just there this week buying cardstock for our WDW trip. And that's where I'll take my menus to be bound. We love Staples!

princess: (DS wanted me to add this smiley because he says it reminds him of me - is that sweet or what?!)
