OMG, how does anyone plan an entire week?

I am only going to Disney with family (DH, DS6, DD2) for three nights and I can't decide on where to eat. I just upgraded to DDxP from DDP and I am lost! What am I going to do? I am getting lucky finding several Ohana 5pm:banana:, Chef Mickey at 10:50,:woohoo: Akershus at 10:30:yay:. We are annual passholders and live really close, so staying at the World is not really about the parks for us. It is about getting away and enjoying the resorts (and food.)

That being said, we have never done DDP, let alone DDxP. And we NEVER eat at the TS when we visit for the day. So, I think that I am too excited that I can't decide!

I planned ADR's to get the most character meals. We did every one except Beach Club breakfast. Otherwise, I would look through the menus (All Ears), pick the ones that look good and hope for the best.

I lovee planning ... I wish I could do DxDDP to make more ADRS haha but we don't eat enough food to make it worth it

overplan your meals. If you are doing the DXDP then make it easy on yourself. A character breakfast and a signature restaurant per day (not to exclude arrival and departure days) will be great.

Your kids are a bit younger than mine. Mine want to be out in the parks.

Your daughter will most likely like almost all the character but Crystal palace would probably work great for her. Ask your son which character he likes and plan a meal around that. Sci Fi (lunch) and Prime Time 50s Cafe are good options.

At Animal Kingdom Yak and Yeti or Tuskerhouse breakfast are good. Look at Biergarten or Coral Reef for a meal at Epcot.

I say you just need to add more days to your trip, and then you can eat at more places! ;) Haha!

But seriously, it is hard! I usually get the park hours first, and plan what parks I want to be at on which days! I AVOID Early EMH and go to the Evening EMH. Once I know what park I'll be at each day, I plan my meals for those parks. And remember, it is easy to go to the monorail resorts for meals from EPCOT and MK! :)

We aren't big morning people. So, when we wake up, we usually just have a small snack. Then, I usually try and get the last breakfast seating or first lunch seating at the buffets, and that's our BIG meal of the day. Then we usually have a late afternoon/early evening snack. We nap late afternoon . Then we get a late dinner reservation, like 7:30.

So if you are willing to eat at more atypical times, you may have better luck getting some of the hard to get reservations!

HTH! Good luck!:goodvibes

So I made my husband sit down with me and figure it out. (Now he can't whine about the food choices!)
So here we go:
Monday- Check in early at CSR to get KTTW cards and come back later to play! We live close so we can get on the road at 9:00 (miss rush hour) and be at CSR by 10:00.
Chef Mickey at 10:55- Back to CSR to relax and swim! Off to MK FP for SM or BTMR
Crystal Palace at 6:10- Use FPl Back to resort for more relaxin' and swimmin'

Tuesday- Off to Epcot Ride TT, FP for Soarin'
10:30 at Akershus
Ride Soarin' and Nemo and look at the Aquarium. Back to resort for nap for DD and me; play for DH and DS
6:30 O'hana; Ride monorail to MK for Summer Nights (wish it was later and watch from the Poly beach...) Monorail back to Poly to pick up car!

Wednesday-
Boma 8:00 AKL
AK for the afternoon and QS lunch (flame tree probably.) Back to CSR
WCC at 6:30 for dinner. Back to CSR

Thursday-
Either Pepper Market or Olivia's (7:45) for breakfast. Enjoy last minutes of resort, packup and off to HS
Sci-Fi Dine In 2:30 for lunch. Spend left over snack credits for souvenirs and back home we go (after 5-6 rush hour!)

How did I do? :banana::cool1::banana::cool1:

I find myself recommending this a lot latley because I can't believe how great it was. We used some of our TS credits for Private In-room dining at the BLT last week. Not only was the food delicious and hot but the server actually lays everything out very nicely. It was by far the most relaxing morning of our stay and the kids said it was the "best breakfast they ever had"...we ate at CRT, Askershus, CP, Chef Mickey's, Ohanas, 1900 Park....:lmao:

I have no idea how it would work if you weren't staying in a deluxe resort but I'd look into it regardless. You do use 2 TS credits/entree.

That is an awesome idea for Mon/Wed night and get to really stay and enjoy the resort. CSR does have full dining, but it does not have a table in the room (only a work desk.) But I am going to look at the Room Service Menu and see what they have (probably May Grill stuff).

Now I am thinking again...my husband always hates that!:rotfl2:
