OMG!! Gaylord Palms

Wow that is really beautiful. Thanks for the pics and review. How far from WDW is it? We need a place for one night.

We did not go to WDW on this trip, but I do believe the Gaylord Palms does have a shuttle. We were not far at all from Downtown Disney, saw signs for it every time we got on the highway. Sorry I can't be of more help.

We just returned from our Gaylord Palms, $93/night on Priceline. We asked and received a comp upgrade to an atrium view room and it was absolutely fabulous!!! Our room overlooked the gators, the waterfalls put us to sleep every night, beds were dreamy. Can you get a place like this on site? That won't be outrageous? My family is sold on this place. For less than rack rate at All Stars, I will do Priceline for future trips. We are spoiled now :confused3
They do have shuttles that run throughout the day, we did not use, we had our car. This place was wonderful to crash midday, but it was so hard to leave to go back to the parks at night...If anyone is thinking of staying here, please do, you will enjoy.

I've heard complaints that their "fees" are outrageous. Something about paying a $15 resort fee and then a $10 parking fee per day, when you self park. $15 a day if you valet.

Is this true, and do you feel that the fees are "outrageous" or do you still feel as if you have gotten a deal at $93...even if you don't get upgraded to an atrium view.

We were there from July 27-30, with the $93 priceline price. Got an Atrium view on the St Augie side. It was awsome. Really enjoyed staying there. The rooms were beatiful and spacious. The beds were comfy. The kids pool was nice as was the adult's only pool. We only went to a park for one day of the three and spent a lot of time chilling at the hotel. My son got to see them feed the baby alligators and even got to hold one (its mouth was taped shut). I would stay there again even if I had to pay a bit more.

This might be a stupid question, but how do you know which hotel you are bidding on when you use Priceline? I always thought you just had to put your criteria and it could be any hotel that meets that criteria. Do you know which criteria to put to get this hotel?

Yes, the Gators are handled by experts from Gatorland and are well taken care of.

It is right before the entrance to WDW near Pop Century. Right up the road from Wide World of Sports. Probably 5 minutes to AK and 7 to Epcot/MGM:) About 15 to MK.
