I called WDW a couple of weeks ago and asked if there were any codes attached to my names. Well, there was! 40% off for a value resort. The CM gave me dates during October, November and December. Well, I called back today to book our trip for December and the CM said that there weren't any codes showing up for my name and the code that the previous CM had told me about had probably expired:scared1: . I got off the phone with that CM and called back and the next CM I got didn't even know what a code attached to your name meant. So, is this true? Did my 40% off code expire or did I get a CM who didn't know what they were talking about? Help!:confused3

Call back. But it is quite possible it expired.

The 4o percent off codes had to be used by March31st.

I talked to a CM named Mark on April 15 and that was the day he told me about the pin code and 40% off values for select dates in October, November and December. That was only about 2 weeks ago and he didn't say anything about it expiring.

I had an old code still attached to my name from last year that I didn't even know about. When I was booking something else, the CM said, "oh, I see you had a PIN code...well it's now expired and was only good for last year". I've asked about it since and no one seems to be able to find it- it wasn't a big deal since it was expired anyway and it wasn't even something I could've used. Who knows how long a code stays attached to your name, how someone "finds" it in their system, or whether they are removed once expired ( obviously not). I know for myself I have several different "households" in their system- multiple "me's". Perhaps that code was under one of the "me's" and not the other. One time I was told they found my name/household...but I was at someone else's home in New York where I've never lived nor do I know anyone in that city, then the other time they had me at a different address, just spelled wrong. One time a CM actually gasped and said, "wow, you're in the system alot of times". I have a rare last name so I doubt I was confused with someone else easily, and perhaps all those different "me's" were generated when I booked online with the computer thinking I was a different person each time. Heck, I could have inherited children I don't even know about! I don't even want to think about the DRC computer nightmares and how many times I might "exist" within that vast online engine. It is a bit depressing though since a code might hide within one of my "selves". LOL ( but still cringing).---Kathy

I got a 40% off PIN postcard in January. It had to be booked by March 31.

Try again; it's possible that your PIN is a different one than mine and that the CM was wrong.

One thing I've learned from these boards is that the CMs on the phone aren't always in agreement. So unless you hear "NO" from several different people, it's possible that you haven't been given the correct info.

Good luck!!

I've had one CM tell me I had a code and when I called back I had another tell me that the code they told me about was not on my name/address, but that I had an old one (for the waterparks and more). Very frustrating. I called a couple more times over the course of a week, but never found anything, so I gave up.

I hope things work out for you! Pixies on their way.

I think the key is this: when a CM tells you something like this, DON'T HANG UP.... book it there and then. There's always the chance that the next CM won't be able to find it.

I agree- and if you have multiple households then it's possible that only one of those households has the code attached so if you get an offer...book it while you're on the phone! I've even had trouble with someone finding an existing reservation since they have to look through all my identities/households to find the one where my ressie is booked.---Kathy

I agree... try again.

I just booked on a pin code I got yesterday... at first the CM said she couldn't get the resort I wanted (AKL). She kept checking and said it looked like it was only for certain villas (OKW, SSR). I said how disappointed I was. So she was checking what the price of the other villas might be, but then I heard her go... OH. Then she mummbled, let me check Animal Kingdom Lodge again.. and she said OK I got it. Discounted rates at AKL, close to $100 off per night, June 28th - July 4th.
I'm not sure what all that meant... but if I would have said 'darn' and hung up when she first said it was only for the villas.. I wouldn't have gotten AKL.

Also.. many times when I call they have lots of things wrong.. my dd's age, birthdate, how many times we'd been there, the last time we were there, once they even had my dd's name and mine switched (we have differnt last names), but this time, she got everything right! Even how many times we were ever there.

Different cm's somehow get different info. Keep trying! And good luck!

I agree too. My sister received an e-mail with a PIN yesterday and when we called tonight, the CM said it must have expired. When I told her it had only arrived yesterday at 1:30 p.m., she dug a little further and found it. We're going to save about $200 for POR for June 29 - July 5.
