Well, we went to the princess ball today and we had well......a ball. Some of our esteemed DISers dressed up as princesses (and no I was not one of them ) but Raulanspinboy was!!!!!
And we have PICTURES.......

Please confirm for me what happened at the ball today I had 2 people who attend for me and they said it was horrible and they were mobbed about the pins and even try to get pins from them they even said that they were people there that did not have on wrist bands but they were there buying pins also that is was raining really bad there and that it was very disorganized and they were not able to purchase any extra pins or the mystery pins. they waited over 2hrs for the artists pins to be signed. I would hope that disney would have more control over something that you payed or I payed extra for. I did get all the pins I ordered.

And I don't feel like Cinderella...I'm wet, cold, my feet are wet and freezing, and I don't remember when I
have so much fun!!!

Sure it poured..and it was cold...Hey I warned everyone, but does anyone ever listen to me
NOOOOO!!!!..

But for us Disers, do we let a little thing like pouring, freezing rain dampen our spirits, of course not!!

We held our tiaras high (even if we wore them over our ponchos) wrapped our boas around our necks..(had to keep warm somehow)
and proudly carried our sceptres (how else to knock the mob back)..

Well it was a day just like I described...we did stand in line for the mystery pin in the rain for over an hr..and we have never laughed
so hard..(maybe it was Rauls' chant " Of " throw them in the moat") (long story) that kept us cheered.. or doing the map quest w/ snorkle gear or just having a very, very bad hair day..but we all just had a ball..

Sure things could have been much better organized, but I'm sure the rain made a lot of last minute changes, a lot of the out
door activities had to be changed..the princess (the human ones)were not available any where but the breakfast, and for those of us that did not go, we did not have any photo ops. the pin signings could have been much much better organized, and the trade parade board was in Tomorrowland, on the complete opposite of the park, from where all the event activities were taking place
and in the pouring rain, and winds, most of us had the challenge of finishing the pin quest, and could not make it alllll the way
over to it....though my grandaughter Crystal, did score a born to shop, for one of her selections..

We finished up by going over to the Poly, still soaking wet for the pin meet, and there was between 100 & 150 people coming and going all evening, still on the quest, and I think if this event was as bad as suggested, everyone would have gone home, instead coming there still sooo wet. quite the opposite, we were all still ready to go, and spent the rest of the evening, rehashig
our unusual say, and trading..
For me, I had a ball, still freezing as I write this, I really enjoyed spending time w/ our fellow Disers, and hate to hang up my
boa..
For me it is have boa..ready for the next one..

Leslie, I have to say, that Boa Brigade was one of your better ideas, that must have been so funny to see. Wish I was there.
I noticed that a few of you are wearing the Lime Green shirts of the DIS. Planned or just a coincidence????
I hope you all got all the pins you wanted, especially Caroline and Roger, they were shopping for me. lol.
So what are you all going to do for the next events?
I know Raul has that movie star skirt for the MGM event, but are you all going to dress up like animals for the AK event? Peggie

I think safari gear would be inexpensive and approporiate. I have m that for me and traci Bear already. He are considering cheerleader, football, basketball, jersey-tyoe dress for WWoS. Traci already has her outfit for that too.

While tyring to consider a "Theme" for MGM hollywood starlets was all I could come up with and evening gowns and heels don't sound like they would make a positive impact on the event for me personally. So we'll hust have to wait and see what we come up with

We certainly had a lot of fun doing this. We did however loose the Sorceror party, I hope someone took a group photo they can share with us. Come on Jonie, I know you took one get it up here, let's see all of the Boa Brigade.

The Ball was a blast and I was proud to dress up as Princess Perdita - black & white boa and all!

I also had a dalmatian septor, but that got put in the locker as in was electronic (lights up and plays music). Not good to have something like that in the rain.

It was so much fun! I can't wait to get together with everyone again! May cruise here we come!!
