Ok so my dh has been trying to get a job for about 4 months. alot of things have happened with this company. Lady got layed over in chicago or something and then other things having to do with ppl falling and braking legs and this and that. This whole time ive been wondering is this worth it.

Then we found out maybe he could get a sells job with the same place. (going to cali some times and stuff)
Well after about 5 different meetings or calls back and forht in the last two weeks.

My DH just comes home an tells me.
"well hunny if things work out, IF"
"we just might be moving to anihime Ca By Disneyland"
"My face just drooped. I mean im typing and shaking (ok im excited id love this, and I know well this is not gona be an over night thing and that i shouldnt count my chickens before they hatch but but I mean wow)

The best part of it all is he would be making good buck not like min wage. I just am like. wow
I pray I hope I wish for this to work out.:goodvibes :woohoo: :wizard:  :worship: :cheer2: pixiedust:

:offtopic: -what kind of houseing places are around lol

That is ABSOLUTELY amazing !! How exciting for you :) I hope everythign works out because that'd be amazing:goodvibes

ty im hoping and praying it would be grate and wed for sure get ap's and and just so much lol
now i just wonder how wed get this huge water bed to ca. lol he wont leave with out it

so would any one have a site to look at if some one would be relocating there, what kind of houseing units or rental houses are around. One my friends said theres lots of gangs around there can any one conferm or deni this?

Like any big area, there are gangs, crime and violence. There are certain areas in OC that I personally would not live in based on experiences. When I first moved, I found craigslist.org to be insanely useful in comparing apartment prices, etc.

I live in Costa Mesa and a 2 bedroom apartment averages anywhere from $1300-$1800 a month.

The neighborhoods near Anaheim is Santa Ana and garden grove and Orange. I personally wouldn't choose Santa Ana. It is cheaper but there is a lot of crime there. I've heard the same for Anaheim, but it's bigger, so it could be in certain areas of Anaheim.

You may as well just buy your AP's now incase things work out! :thumbsup2

hehe sy,
and see we are gona have to live close to his work becosue no car

Sorry, One of the requirements to live in California is that you have to have more cars in your driveway than you have people in your household.

Boy, do you have that right! Many of our neighbors have 5 or 6 cars! If you don't have a car, guess you can rent out your driveway/parking space! :lmao:

We are staying in Garden Grove when we visit but I doubt I'll end up seeing any neighborhoods.

If that's the case Sy- about owning more cars than the members of the home, count us in! We currently have over 15+ vintage vehicles in our backyard in various stages of disrepair. And that's not including all the trailers we own:rotfl2: . We are "Canadian Rednecks" and proud of it! Hope that everything goes well for you Jade, and you hubby get the job. Have a great day!:grouphug: :grouphug:

ty ty and lol im readding up on things sites and such just in case. but ive calmed down since this morrning hoping all goes right.

oh no car????:scared: Im honestly not trying to be a downer but I am a realist...CA is a very very hard place to live in...jobs are scarce and people are having a hard time trying to survive...there are tons of foreclosures, schools suck terribly, food and gas is so very expensive and there are people that I know who moved here last year and were extremely happy to be close to DL and didnt make it a whole year before moving back...so think this one through very carefully...

I have to agree with Lynn, Jade. Make sure you understand the cost of living is sooo much more in CA than you have here in AZ. Plus crime is higher (and I think AZ is really bad). Just make sure you really work through all the pros and cons.

My best friend and her family are moving to Claremont, CA next week. I would be very worried for them, but her dh got a job at a private school and the school pays for their housing and provides the entire family 3 meals a day, so I know they'll be fine.

well my dh already knows how much it costs since he had lived there most his life. and knows he isnt taking the job in less its high enough and the person told him it would be high enough not to need to be on well what we are on here.

we dont drive no licens no car. he says he knows the publect transit can get him where he needs to be and stuff.

Anaheim has good public transit but not every city does. Housing will be high and schools won't be as good as they are in AZ. Just be careful and really consider everything before moving. Not trying to be a downer because I would LOVE to live next to DL but just be careful. We considered a move there but decided against it because even from Nor Cal to So Cal the cost of living is so much different. It's much cheaper in Nor Cal...for just about everything.

If he gets it and the money is good then go for it and enjoy being so close to the Mouse!! I'll be jealous! lol

We have lived in Az for 23 yrs, left for 6 and came back in a hurry. You will not find living anywhere as cheap as AZ. Many yrs ago my hubby was offerred a job in N. California where it is cheaper than where you are considering and an apt 1/2 the size of our house was $2000 a month. PLEASE. Thoroughly check this out. They were going to double his salary and at the time it would have been a lot of money. (24 yrs ago) and we found it would not pay us to leave Az. Don't forget the free college for hs grads here in Az as well. Please look at the big picture. How are you planning to go see this for yourselves if you do not drive? I would be very afraid to land in a hugs city like that and try to get kids signed up in schools, find docs etc with no car.....

I know this sounds great, but PLEASE think it over well... Wishing you the very best.

well we would move if he gets this job with the amount he wants and its going to be in anihime and schools dont matter my son wont be in them. The gangs and earthquakes are what im worried about but we do know we wouldnt move to gang lands of anihime we would find a good safe place and I was really posting this for alot of happy vibes.
for good lucks for the same kind of excitment any here give to others here.
real friedns putting this all down too well i dont care if he gets this job at least we will be out this fing rout were in

:flower3: I so very much hope that your DH is hired.
When it comes to moving the water bed, no worries, that can definitely be done. :)

jade none of us are trying to put it down and if it works out we will all be jealous of you :lmao: ...we are just being realistic hon...I had no idea that AZ gave free college for grads...personally Anaheim is not the best area to live in...working is ok but not to live...its very old and alot of parts are run down...and although the transportation around the park to the hotels and such are great...within the city limits itself I dont think its that great...but whatever happens I wish you the best of luck...
