Olympic Schedule Released - Anyone Going?

Can my ds come and live with you then? He loves road cycling and is dying to get down to watch it in the olympics

LOL! I've got my hands full with my own children!

To be honest I think we might be trapped in our town that day as the race goes along one side of it one way and then back along the other side on the way back to London (I'm not far from Hampton Court). So I'm excited on one hand but also a bit worried.

Looking on the bright side we might get the pot holes repaired!

We plan on going to some of the events, although not as many as hoped now that I have seen the prices! I would love to go to the opening or closing ceremonies but they are just too expensive! We will probably go and see some of the athletics and the swimming and diving. I want to go and see at least 1 event in the actual stadium. I guess I am lucky where we live as we can get to London quite easily just for the day. Although having said that we would probably make a few days of it and stay over for a few nights.

I really, really hope I get to see something as the company I work for is a Tier 1 sponsor and I am on the Olympic team, but although I will be in London for 17 days over this period, I am not guaranteed to see anything as all of the top execs and their guests will be over as well.

I can only hope.

I would just love to see Usain Bolt in the 100m but at £75 a second for the top price seats i don't think it will be happening!!

But that's why I'm going for the £50 tickets for that night, not the £725 ones!

Okay, I'll probably still have to get lucky in the draw to get the tickets, but if I do, that's pretty good value for money when you consider that you'll see three runnings of the 100m (not just the final), plus the 400m men's semi and women's final, the 1500m semi-finals, the 3000m steeplechase final, the Hammer and Triple Jump finals and the 400m Hurdles and High Jump qualifiers all on the same bill.

I am still waiting to hear if I have been shortlisted to volunteer at the olympics (fingers crossed)!

But if not I will try for the opening or closing ceremonies!
