Olympic Gold Medalists hurt in car crash; rushed to hospital

Link doesn't work.. are you talking about Fleming and such that was in Biden't motorcade?

They weren't seriously hurt. Technically you have a misleading title since it implies current Olympians not former Olympians (of course it is serious though..)

Sorry, linky no linky....

Two people, including former gold medal skater Peggy Fleming, received minor injuries on Sunday when Vice President Joseph Biden's motorcade was involved in a crash at the Vancouver Olympics, officials said.

Biden's limousine was not involved in the three-vehicle collision and the vice president continued without incident to watch the U.S. women's ice hockey team defeat China, Canadian police and the White House said.

"Neither the vice president nor anyone else in his party was involved in the incident," Biden's spokesman Jay Carney said in a statement.

The cause of the accident involving three vehicles at the rear of the motorcade had not yet been determined, but may have been the result of slick road conditions, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Fleming, who won gold at the 1968 Games, and Vonetta Flowers, a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. women's bobsleigh team in 2002, were taken to hospital to be checked out but quickly released, the White House said.

Biden, Fleming and Flowers are all part of the U.S. Olympic delegation attending the Vancouver Games.

Okay, I'm confused one place it said His motorcade wasn't involved. Then another place it said his motorcade was involved. Which is it LOL

I think Biden needs a new motorcade, Wasn't he in a wreck a few months ago

It sounds like several cars traveling in the motorcade were involved in the accident, but the limousine that Biden was traveling in was not involved.

Dude...your title is BEYOND misleading. It sounds like somebody was actually hurt. NOBODY was hurt. And nowhere does it say anyone was "rushed" anywhere.

Grr.
