Olvera Street on DL show

Hat's off to the DL Correspondents for the DL show. It sounded great! As Tony and Nancy know, I was born in LA, and I remember my parents taking me to Olvera Street. When we went back for our big visit to CA in 1980, I distinctly remember going to Olvera Street, and whenever I get back to Southern CA I try to get there.

Thanks Nancy for bringing back a fond family memory of my parents. Mmmmm, mexican food...

You're welcome, Dave. It seemed only logical - after all, we were literally across the street at the train station. I actually am now craving the food there after listening.

Also having listened, I just realized you could make a drinking game out of that segment.... Geez. I had no clue how many times I said "it's just beautiful!". :eek

Great Segment Nancy and Wendy! We went to Olvera Street last holiday season. It was a really beautiful time to be down there as they had a huge Christmas tree, Mariachis (spelling unsure) and folks were dancing everywhere. We walked across the street and went to Felipe's. My grandmother started taking us to Felipe's when we were little girls so it's a tradition for us.

Speaking of food - check out Mr. Churro while you are there: they fill the churro with your choice of caramel, custard or strawberry jam! Woohoooo! If I thought I couldn't add to my thunderthighs fast enuf
