I feel so silly...when I read the show description and saw Kevin was going to review Olivia's, for some reason I got nervous. I really enjoy Olivia's. I know it's not fancy, but we find it relaxing and consistently good. We always eat there on a trip, even if not staying at OKW. We take the boat from DTD like Pete said. The main reason really is for the Key Lime Tart. My sister and I LOVE it. Plus we never need an ADR and always have good service. We usually do a late lunch and sit out on the patio. I was afraid Kevin was going to hate it. I was worried he wouldn't like my beloved Key Lime Tart, one of my favorite things in all of WDW. I know it's silly, but I was soooo relieved after I heard it. Whew!

i will have to find time today to listen.............we intend on going there at least for 2 breakfasts and one lunch during our stay at OKW in september. have to fix a light fixture, get ink for home printer, go to the doctor for my monthly weigh in, have my fingers crossed for that............oh, and we are going to see The Sorcerers Apprentice tonite..........cant miss anything with Nick Cage.

I was also glad for the very good review. I have actually gone their dozens
of times and it has always been a great place. We like to eat outside when we can. Not many places on property you can do that. It can be quite noisy at times and that is why we eat outside. We stay at OKW often that being our DVC home. We amost always stay across the street from Olivia's which makes it a short walk. Very convenient for us. At lunch you will find
usually cast member managers from other areas of the property eating there.
They like the laid back feeling and they are able to get a table at lunch quite easily. Thanks again Kevin for your review. We are back in St. Louis for about 6 weeks and then going back to Florida where I can be close to the happiest place on earth.

Thanks for not over-hyping Olivia's Kevin. Seriously. Val & I love the place simply because it is such a nice laid-back place to eat. Good food in a relaxed atmosphere that you don't typically find at WDW.

So, everybody please keep your praise for this place low-key so that it doesn't get over-run. Or worse, Disney feels they need to "improve" it.

Good point! :thumbsup2

Although, have you seen the new rooms? :sad2: I don't care for them at all.
It might just be me, but they don't have the same Key Westy feel/look IMHO. I hope they don't refurb Olivia's too.

Kevin, you described Olivia's perfectly...calm and relaxing. That's how we feel about it too. You just don't feel like you're in Disney, because they treat you like you're a local and the service is great. It's never been crowded when we've been there either.

Kevin, the balloon swords and other balloon art are given out at the registration desk, so you can blame them! :)

We LOVE Olivia's and OKW for that matter. It is a very laid back place and we really like the food. Thanks Kevin for validating this! :thumbsup2

I'm still not sure what a "chicken wire tile floor" is... :confused3

Chicken wire tile is that hexagon (or octagon) shaped tile that looks very old fashioned.

Each tile is about the size or a quarter and the over all design looks like chicken wire.
