Olivia's Cafe

I haven't seen many recent reviews on Olivia's Cafe at OKW resort. Has anyone been there in the last year?? How was the food/service?? Would you recommend??

We are staying at POR in October and my daughter's name is Olivia and I thought she would have fun eating at the restaurant with her name on the menu!!

We have eaten there within the last year. Can't remember when though (one of the side effects of going often). The service and food were both good. I had the penne pasta. I don't remember what anyone else had other than DS8 having the crab cakes. He didn't like them. However, he always insists he likes crab crakes, orders them, then remembers he doesn't like them. So, I wouldn't put much stock into him not liking them.

We were there last Sept during the free dining and we had a very nice time. The food was good and we had a very nice waitress. I've heard they have really good fried chicken there.

We made reservations at Olivia's for the same reason. We will be staying at POFQ in October and wanted to celebrate my niece Olivia's birthday a little early so we're having a special dinner for her there. From what I've heard, it's not one of the "must do" places at WDW but the food is good and the atmosphere is nice.

Hope your Olivia enjoys her special night!

In our opinion, Olivia's is one of those little "hidden secrets". Excellent service, delicious food, wonderful "family" atmosphere, and little talked about.

Olivia's is one of our all-time favorites, which is a lucky thing since we stay at OKW 85% 0f the time. Service is almost always excellent. However, recent changes were made to the menu and some old favorites (buttermilk chicken, for one) are gone. If you've never been there, I'm sure you will find the menu to be varied and the service as good as it's always been. It's a beautiful place and rarely requires ADRs. We will be returning because we love it so much and it's in our "neighborhood"!

We recently had breakfast and lunch there and it was fine. At lunch, we were famished from our flights and barely noticed the changes, (had a burger and we shared the crabcake appetizer and they were both great), but at breakfast I noted that my favorite breakfast potatoes are no longer offered. Also, do a search on these boards; the topic has been discussed a lot in recent weeks.

I was really looking forward to their coconut shrimp on our upcoming trip, but I see this is also gone from their menu. I'm bummed. Their menu still looks yummy though.
