Olivia's banana bread french toast?- I found it and this is disgusting!

What are the two pictures? I get that you aren't happy, but I've never eaten there, and don't know what the pictures mean.

The point appears to be that the lower photo shows a muffin topped with bananas and whipped cream. Definitely not french toast.

I'd have sent that back immediately and demanded something else.

Frankly, I'd have done the same with the plate above if that french toast was as nearly burnt as it appears.

I believe the difference is that they changed from Banana Bread French toast to a Banana Bread Pudding - that change made me cancel my reservation for our August trip (at least until I hear reviews on the new offering).

That's supposed to be bread pudding? Weird!

I've eaten bread pudding in restaurants here and there, but none of it looked like that. It was either a square a little thicker than a brownie or was served in a bowl.

Yup, that's just weird.

Agreed...but I think that's their new style - looks like the pretzel bread pudding they rolled out in the Germany pavilion.

Whatever they do...they better not touch my Ohana bread pudding or I will riot!!!!!

Banana bread French toast is a disgusting creation regardless.

Banana bread is NOT bread. It's cake. So you're taking CAKE, and dipping it in a batter of eggs and milk to make it even more dense and then frying it in more butter? It always gets burned because banana bread is full of sugar, and sugar burns on a hot griddle. It's CAKE.

The bread pudding is a far better approximation of what French toast should be. I'm guessing they just added some bananas on there with the cubed bread.

Although that serving size is a joke for breakfast.

We had never eaten twice at the same place while on a trip, until Olivia's. We went back again for breakfast after our initial visit for the french toast. No more. Olivia's is no longer on our radar. This is one of the most extreme pics of Disney's cost cutting mission that I have seen.

Use to Love Olivia years back but have not been there is a long time.
Makes me appreciate a QS muffin for 3.99 which are still good.
No way I am paying 16 or more for that. I remember the days sitting in CR eating breakfast with Andouille sausage when Disney cared about what something tasted like at every TS. Kona had a Filet and Strip steak...... I will say CS has improved a lot while many of the TS has declined.

I maintain that banana bread is only good slathered with cream cheese.

The tang of the cream cheese plays deliciously off the sweetness of the banana bread...ummm...CAKE. :P

I'm a quality over quantity person. The second photo looks like plenty of food for breakfast to me & looks more appetizing.
We would have never went back during the same trip if that french toast wasn't awesome!!

Isn't that basically what hummingbird cake is? I know there is pineapple in there too, though.
