Olga’s cantina....

looks like there's seats around the bar and tables in other areas, but not sure if EVERYONE gets seated inside has a place to sit. will be following as well.

Only a few tables have seats, about 80+ percent of the bar is standing at the bar or at standing tables.

Oga's.

Here's how it works. When you enter, your party is assigned a place to stand or sit if you are lucky. You will probably be standing at the bar (there are no seats at the bar) or standing tables. There are some booths, plus stools at the tables. They are large, and if you are assigned to one and you do not have a party that fills up the booth, you will be sharing that booth with other parties. You may not leave the place you are assigned and go stand or sit somewhere else. (It's probably okay for you to walk around and take a look so long as you return to your assigned spot.)

Guests at Oga's have a 45 minute limit inside and a two drink maximum. You can order bar snacks as well, there are a couple available. When you finish and pay up, you must leave. If it's not busy, you may be allowed to stay longer and purchase more drinks.

The bar and standing tables are definitely too high for small kids.

I’m told there’s nowhere to sit here? Is that true?
Correct, I've been to Oga's Cantina in Disneyland. It's mainly a standing only. There are some seated booths but they are allocated randomly, so there is not a garantee you will get one. You can request a seated booth at the host stand but you will have to wait. Also depending on the size of your party you may have to share the seated booth with strangers.

Regarding the standing tables, they are high, too high for kids to reach.

There is also standing areas at the bar, again it is high but there is a lower area for wheelchairs.

We sat in a booth both times (shared with other guests), plus there are seats by the bar, and the rules are that you can only stay 45 min max, so there is turnover. If you physically cannot stand I'm sure they will do what they can to accommodate you.

It's called Oga's.

It's primarily standing tables that hold up to 8 or so, standing around the bar and booths which hold larger parties or several smaller groups. Don't expect to be seated. You only have 45 minutes to be in there anyway, so standing isn't that awful.

I prefer to stand at a table or bar rather then sit at Oga’s.

It’s easier to look around, take in the atmosphere, and talk with others when you’re standing. :)

It’s definitely not a place to stop and take a load off.

It was a one and done for me (Disneyland). I can’t fathom what they were thinking when they designed the place.

If you go, I would suggest going early in the day before exhaustion and sore feet set in.

And the Batuu Bits were disgusting. Save your 8 bucks. Some of the worst tasting food I have ever tried to choke down in my life.

We have three small kids so will definitely be requesting a spot at one of the booths. I don't mind sharing with others--that is how they do the seating at Biergarten and on Disney Cruise line and shared tables never bothered us, but no seats is weird. Most bars have high-top seats or bar stools at the high-top tables. The decision to make standing only tables is so weird--such a college bar vibe and not what I would expect at Disney.

This really isn't a regular bar, it's more like an attraction that serves drinks. They need to have a flow of guests moving in and out to accommodate as many guests who want to experience it as possible, not let us camp out in there like we do at Nomad Lounge. That's why it is designed the way it is, with mostly standing space.

Agreed.

And to add to that, in case there's any confusion - this isn't a restaurant where you will get a menu of food to order. It is a bar that serves 90% drinks and a handful of food items that are really only quick snacks.

If you absolutely need to be seated due to disability, I'm sure they'll accommodate. But outside of that, you can't request a seated table vs a standing table. When it's busy, you will get what you get. When it's slow, they may have more latitude to meet requests. When we were there (during opening weekend at WDW), the table next to us had two younger kids who were at a standing table with the adults in their party who wanted to try the drinks. They weren't tall enough to reach the tabletop but the cantina was full enough that waiting for preferred seating wasn't an option. YMMV

like others have said its not meant to be a bar you hang out in, its a churn and turn ATTRACTION which serves drinks, and its not aimed at families. And yes the college bar vibe is exactly what Disney were aiming for, a place for ADULTS. Not everywhere in Disney Parks HAS to be somewhere kid friendly.

Walt wanted Disney parks to be for everyone. People just assumed that everyone meant families with kids. Finally with Ogas , it is now fulfilling Walts dream, by having an ADULT place, a place for those of us who want to escape the screaming kids in Magic Kingdom / Fantasyland.

What a weird dream.

I have no problem with adults who want to go to WDW, but I do wonder why adults choose to go to such a kid-centric place and then seem annoyed because there are kids there.

not annoyed that kids are in Disney parks, but its nice to finally have a place thats not kid friendly. I get it, its Disney and there will be kids. I go to Disney Parks as its my happy place and now with Batuu and Ogas there is actually somewhere just for me, an adult. I guess I'm getting a tad fed up of all the Disney families complaining about Batuu and Ogas and wanting it to be a generic land like the rest of Disney.
