Oley Foundation Convention In Florida 2009

My sister is chronically ill and uses a permanent feeding tube. She has been a member of the Oley Foundation for over 2 years. The contacts and information that she obtained at the 2007 Convention in Mass saved her life. She hooked up with a team of nurses and doctors from Memorial Sloan Kettering in NY and their treatment has been life changing.
She asked me to post on the DIS boards that we will probably be going to the Oley Convention in St. Petersburg, FL, June 29th to July 2nd.
Since lots of Oley clients are children, she wanted to ask if others are members of this wonderful foundation.

My name is Joanne, and i am not a child, but when i read your memo, i had to respond. I also have had a j-tube for 2 yrs. i also attended my ist oley conference in Mass, and it definitelywas a life changing experience. I also was referred to Sloan kettering hosp. My Physician is Dr. Mark Schattner. I had my first tube put in in that August... I am so glad you had success as I have. I feel I have a new life now.
