Oldtimer's Question RE: Mickey's Birthdayland

Greetings!

While going through my 2005 copy of Birnbaum, I was looking at the history of attractions timeline.

What was Mickey's Birthdayland at EPCOT?

Where was it?

What replaced it and when?

Would love to see any old photos as well.

Mickey B-day land was at MK....currently its Mickey toon town fair...
I believe it was change shortly after that horrible cake came down

In the Birnbaum book, it looks, to me anyway, like it was an EPCOT attraction, which it obviously wasn't. Thanks for the info.

Makes sense it was at MK and turned into Toontown Fair.

Mickey's Birthdayland was added in celebration of Mickey's 60th birthday and featured a walk-through of Mickey's House, live stage show with Mickey and friends, Mickey's Hollywood Theater (Mickey meet-and-greet), a playground and Grandma Duck's Farm petting zoo. After the birthday celebration, it became Mickey's Starland and the birthday show was replaced by one with Mickey and the stars of the Disney Afternoon (Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, etc.) In 1996, the land became Mickey's Toontown Fair with a more major rehab to change a lot of the cosmetics and facaes of the land. The show was taken out with the waiting area changed into the Judge's Tent and the theater into the Hall of Fame. The petting zoo was taken out to put in the Barnstormer and Mickey's Hollywood Theater was removed and Minnie's Country House was built in its place.
