My family plans to take a trip to Disneyland Paris end of June 2008/start of July 2008.

We have invited my Dads parents along because we know they enjoy time with us. They are late 70s/early 80s but a very active couple and without knowing their ages you'd probably place them both in a younger age bracket, they like sedate holidays though. Is it really worth taking them for 3/4 days? Would they really enjoy it?

Any advice from people who've travelled with older relatives before is much appreciated!

Kind Regards,
Natalie.

They will have a great time !!!!
My parents also always went along with us and if the became tired the just took a rest on one of the park benches ore took cup of coffee.

Now I feel a little pain in my hart when we are in the park. My dad passed away but I can still see his smile when we come out of an attraction.

If they really get tired you can always rent a wheelchair for them. Lots and lots of people do even if there not disabled.

Have a great time with them.

I'm sure the fact that you are all on a family holiday will mean they have a great time. And they can be as sedate or as active as they like at DLP. Maybe plan evening meals in places like Walt's in the Disneyland Park or the Manhattan Restaurant at the Hotel New York, which on the whole are nice calm quiet places!!

It might be worth trying to visit when the parks are a bit quieter. French school holidays start on the 3rd July in 2008, and the weekends are very crowded at any time of the year.

We went with my DH's parents when they were 70, and they loved it.

Went with MIL and FIL. While not in there 70's they are definitely of the quite holiday types.
They had a blast and agreed that they would enjoy it equally on their own.
As Becky says, as part of a family holiday I think they will enjoy watching the wonder of everyone else enjoying themselves :goodvibes

Hi

We took my mum(who is 76) in January and she had a great time.
I was worried about her going on the rides but she was great(it was me that was a ride wimp:scared1: )
She wants to go again with my dad(who is 80)

It was her first time going and it was lovely to see her face,
So I would safely say, they'll have a magical time
