older kids?

we are toying with the idea of letting my older 2 (12 and 15) go off together at times, especially in the MK. we will have frs radios, although we have never used them before. My 15 year old daughter is very responsible, and my 12 year old son is, well, a 12 year old son! Has anyone had any experience with this???

When my DD and DS were these ages we did let them explore by themselves. They did fine and surprising enough they actually wanted to stay with us more than we thought they did, darn! Set up specific meeting times and places and stress the importance of staying together. At the resort we let them roam as long as they were together! They thought they were so cool!!
