she went to a bar mitzvah todya and came home and told me that a 6th grade boy "ruined" the whole party for her.
I was prepared to hear antoher chapter of "As the playground turns."
seems dd spent a lot of time talking to a boy from her class, who also will be going to camp with her this summer.
the younger boy spent maybe 5 minutes (of a 5 hour-long party) teasing them that they were "going out" and "love each other."
I looked at my dd, rolled my eyes and asked her if she'd had fun during the rest of the party.
"Well, yeah."
if that's the worst thing that happened at the party...
gotta teach her not to be so meloframatic.
