I think it's worth a dollar. Not that a dollar goes very far anymore.

ETA Anything older than me might be worth something.

It's as good as any one dollar bill issued today. There's no reason why anyone wouldn't cash it.

I did a google search and couldn't find anything on a ONE dollar bill. You might try typing the serial number in the search. I work at a bank, and I found a red seal $5 bill in a deposit once. It's not even worth that much even though it is kind of rare and old. Good luck! I love trying to find old money. Even if it isn't worth anything, it's fun to find.
