I miss the old tv shows on Disney. The cartoons. I use to love to watch little mermaid the show and Hercules the show and Darkwing Duck. And Duck Tales (I think that's what it was called with Uncle Scrooge always swimming in his money).

Now these Disney Jr cartoons are kinda dumb. And that's all they have. Cartoons geared towards preschoolers. (Except Phineas and Ferb and I'll admit. It's good. The only good one) The other ones are stupid. Fish Hooks? Seriously. I think it killed brain cells.

They should create a channel playing all old shows. I loved Nick at Nite as a kid. Something for Disney would be great.

Though I do have to say I am excited for Girl Meets World. Though kinda scared it's gonna suck LOL

How about everyone else. Help me bring back some good memories.. What good cartoons or tv shows do you miss???

my almost 17 yr old and 19 yr old agree with you completely. the constantly say they wish Disney would do either a block of the shows they saw growing up on Disney channel or better yet another sub channel.

i'll tell you, the Disney shows I would REALY like to rewatch are the classic 'wonderful world of disney' (do the full ones with walt doing the intros:thumbsup2), and more recently 'pepper ann' (much too cool for 7th grade:rotfl:).

AHHHH!!!! PEPPER ANN!!!! YES!!!!! I forgot all about that show!

Whew, now that I'm calmed down lol, I totally agree with you. The Disney Channel shows today are horrible. When our TV is on, it's always on the Disney Jr. channel. Thank God DH works for the cable company so we get it for free.

Closet Lizzie Mcguire fan. :lmao: They should re-show all those awesome 80s and 90s cartoons. Ducktales, Chip n dale Rescue Rangers, and all the rest. Those shows were awesome!

I see "old tv shows" and the things I think of are Gilligan's Island, I Dream of Jeannie and F Troop:rotfl2:

ds is getting for Christmas the complete series of Gilligan's Island as well as season one of The Addams Family and Mama's Family

we try to turn him on to at least one older or obscure tv series each year-so far he's become addicted to Roseanne (esp. the Halloween Episode Collection:thumbsup2), Are You Being Served, and ALF:rotfl: dh got the first season of Hogan's Hero's for his birthday and is planning on cracking it open to watch with ds during the holiday break.

the oldies are alive and well loved in our home:happytv::happytv:

If you're talking old school Disney, how about the Adventures of Spin and Marty? Or Corky and White Shadow? Yes, that really makes me feel old.

The Disney version of the Hardy Boys in the mid 1950's with Tim Considine and Tommy Kirk.

There are so many classic Disney movies they could include. How many kids remember the original Swiss Family Robinson, or the original Parent Trap? Toby Tyler?

The Disney Hercules cartoon show was better than the movie imo. I loved how Herc interacted with so many of the various gods- Demeter, Ares, Artemis, etc.

I also loved the Little Mermaid tv cartoon, except the ones with singing.

The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Duck Tales, Chipn Dale Rescue Rangers would all be great on a throwback channel as well. They also used to sometimes play old 20s and 30s shorts in between programming. They should bring that back. They could use it to promote sales of compilations of the classics.

I also remember they'd show music videos from whatever hit movie was showing from them at the time. I fell in love with "Be a Man" from Mulan because of the multiple replays on Disney Channel while the movie was still in theaters.

I remembered another one. I loved House of Mouse. I thought it was awesome seeing all the characters interact.

And chip and dale. I can't believe I forgot that!!! And Lizzie and Even Stevens.

Thanks y'all for the good memories!!!

Hey same here! Our boys (15 and 13) are loving all the old shows, they really enjoy Hogan's Heroes, Partridge Family, Family Ties, 3rd Rock From the Sun, the Monkees, some Britcoms, just everything. They laugh and say now they understand so many more pop culture references lol.

Side note, when they saw Leave it to Beaver, my older son commented, "Wow, a show with smart parents? Wha???". Goes to show how ridiculous how many shows today are in that regard.
