Old Town

Just got my Orlando Guide Book and Dvd through the post yesterday from the TV add and looking through it there is some cool stuff I did not know about, one being Old Town in Kissimmee, mainly for the classic car parade's, has anyone been to this and is it anygood ?

We love the old classic american cars and Hot rods and would love to get some cool pics of these.

Hi this is a great night out the Saturday night is the best day to go as it classic cars from the 50 and 60 Fri night is cars from the 70 and up wards and Thursday night is the motorbikes night great friendly atmosphere the cruise starts about 8.30 pm but the cars are on show from about PM .

cool thx... looks like we will have to go both fri/sat then lol .. do many cars get there ? site says 300+ but i know people like to go over the top when promoting their place

Hi yes if the weather is right and not raining there can be well over that amount I have lost my husband there for many hours as he likes to walk up and down the rows looking at each individual cars , there is also a large amount of shops and for the children a amusement park at the bottom end .

I can't imagine a trip to Florida without at least 1 evening at The Old Town, On a busy night the cars can go on and on and on, DW gets a bit bored after about 20 mins of watching car after car drive past but if you like cars you will enjoy it. Never managed to get to the bike night (Thurs) not a fan of bikes but would like to see it sometime.

Would agree that if you are going to Old Town it has to be on a weekend, it's often fairly quite midweek and there isn't the same atmosphere.

Have been a few times now and whilst for some reason we didn't enjoy it last year we have had some good moments there, and met up with a bunch of guys from Michigan at a bar and had a great evening with them (Joshua was asleep).

thx for the great pics and all the info..will be deff be paying a visit at the weekend looks very cool...will not have a problem with wife getting bored, she loves the cars more than me at times lol and she loves the big trucks !!! it might be me trying to drag her away
