I know I can book directly thru them rather than DCL and save some money, but I have questions:

When I looked to book thru DCL it said the tour was from 1:00 to 2:50. I thought this was a get on/get off type thing. Then why is there an end time of 2:50?

If I book directly through OTT, where do we get on the trolley from the cruise ship? Do they drop us off at the same spot when we are ready to get back on the ship?

Thanks for your help.

You cannot get off the trolley if you go on the DCL tour. The only way you can do that is to book it at the port. Kids are free if you book it at the port too. :) There is a small booth right there and they will take you to where you board the trolley. We really enjoyed this in January.

Thanks so much! Exactly what I needed to know. My guys are going to be 15 yrs old next week:love:, so no more free kids!

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

This is totally easy. As Lisa said, there is a booth right off the pier. The DCL tour is a special vehicle, single loop (no hop on, hop off). If you do it on your own, it is hop on, hop off. No reservations needed--just go to the booth and you are on the next vehicle.

Congrats to you! :) We don't have much longer for that deal. It makes a big difference if your kids are 12 and under because both my 10 & 12 yos would have been charged full adult fare with DCL but were free at the port.

BTW, the trolleys come by every 30 minutes.

We also did this ourselves last Oct..was very nice. I had a broken toe and was unable to get off and on...but we still enjoyed just the ride and the informative tour guide.

We booked online and saved $$$. We just brought our confirmation printout and it was super easy to board (right near the giant sponge man). :-)

The fun part about the "get off get on" is that the various drivers have their own, often tell contradictary versions of the story of the same historical events. :happytv:

When we did this, we just bought tickets right there in Key West. It was a great tour and there was a coupon available online before our cruise 2 years ago. :goodvibes

Good discount on-line, so I will be booking tickets ahead of time.

Thanks all!

There is a new trolley tour company called City View. You can go online and buy tickets at quite a bit of savings. It is $17 per adult for online tickets. They got good reviews on another cruise board.:thumbsup2
